VISION Becoming a reference institution worldwide in this area, through scientific and technological excellence. Not only for the Chilean environment but for all Latin America and any country interested in developing this technology.

12 OBJECTIVES 1. Promote and carry R&D (research, development and innovation) according to the guidelines emanating from different government agencies competent. 2. Promote collaboration with universities and national and international R&D centers in various technological areas related to solar energy. 3. Help provide specific learning opportunities that can meet the future needs of advanced human capital and technical product specialists. 4. Promote close collaboration with regional and national companies that allow adequate transfer and commercialization of the technologies developed.
13 OBJECTIVES 5. Promote the productive chain and the creation of spin-off. 6. Provide technical services in the areas of their competence. Provide advice and consultancy services to both administrations and public and private institutions in the areas related to their activity. 7. Foster activities derived from their R & D in the fields of scientific and technological diffusion, promoting general public awareness of the advantages and benefits of the technologies related to solar energy. 8. Reference center for these technologies, not only in Chile but also in the entire Latin American context.
