11 Sustainability projects funded through ERDF Ecological transfer of post war housing (how to make housing, renovation, re-generation, more eco friendly and in what way) It involves SME s within the construction sector. It aims at creating business opportunities within sustainable re-generation in urban environments. The project has a 2 meuro turnover over 3 years. Focus has been on Green roofs, higher housing and living density, Sustainable city development (Methodology development with partners and how to develop a social, economical and environmentally sustainable city within one city district, Rosengård) The project runs over 3 years with a turnover of about 6 meuro. The objective is to run a project of change that involves the inhabitants actors of physical planning, (public and private). The physical and social meeting places created, generates a dialogue and a process of city district change involving everyone. Thus the project generates synergies between social bonds as well as external investment interest. There is also a particular focus on clean tech industries and solutions for the city district Particular focus on youth groups, NGO s, other citizens groups. Malmö Plug-in (Development of recharge stations for electrical and hybrid vehicles) It s a 3 year project with the objective to increase the use of electric and hybrid vehicles, through increased number of filling stations. It involves a demonstration site, showcase of use of different types of renewable energy sources. Project turnover 5.6 meuro.

Science centre Malmö (a joint project between the Environmental and Cultural department) The Environmental department and Cultural department jointly develop a new Science centre integrated in the Museum that has a traditional profile. The centre will be the natural expo area of All sustainability work in the city and all features will be sustainable. (from construction to use and administration) It will host at least visitors annually and also involve schools and children in teaching and learning activities. Project turnover 2.5 meuro Sustainable Aqua marine technology (Demonstration project for business to generate and create new business and growth for SME s) Project objective is to create a climate smart society through growth and employment in the Aqua maritime sector. The Project creates strong links (PPP) with a triple-helix focus on F&D, Companies and Public sector. The project involves the further development of incubators and the creation of exhibitions sites in the city to showcase innovation and to be used in inward investment situations. Turnover 250 Euro
