11 The contribution of SEiSMiC to JPI UE SEiSMiC Spirit SEiSMiC Content SEiSMiC Topics The basic principles underlying SEiSMiC have been emphasised for the SRIA new paradigm in research & innovation transdisciplinarity co-creation and a broad stakeholder involvement The The general role role of of social innovation within the the SRIA SRIA has has strongly been emphasised through SEiSMiC Identifying and enhancing national needs and priorities The three main topics Urban governance Public Space Urban Economy have been taken up and related research needs have been integrated into the SRIA
12 Conclusions For supporting the SRIA implementation, continuous strategic dialogue with stakeholder groups of science, cities, civil society and business (industry) is needed to ensure inter- and transdisciplinarity The different logics of various stakeholders should be taken into account A broad and flexible connection to local, national and European contexts and different stakeholders is seen as the best way forward Going beyond advisory boards, a co-creation process is needed to connect the various stakeholder groups effectively
