1 Technical Data Sheet Project Type Catalogue Number Introducing a new range of LED auditorium lighting fixtures specifically designed for use with the GDS ArcSystem. a 100% to absolute zero dimming system using wired DMX or the wireless ArcMesh protocol. The ArcSystem comes in a range of options from single cell to multi cell including 1, 2, 4 and 8 Cells (See other specification sheets). The optics are available in a range of beam angles, using high efficiency optics and LED s. GDS ArcSystem is able to produce a CRI in excess of 90 with a range of colour temperatures. 2 Technical Data Sheet Page 2 General Information A compact MR16 Unit that can either fit directly into existing MR16 light fittings, or can be a fixed recessed light fitting in its own right. The MR16 produces the same amount of light as a 50W halogen but only consumes 10 watts. Ideally suited for recessed installation in areas that require short/medium throw illumination. 2 x MR16 fittings connect directly to a ARCMD1D (driver unit), the details of the driver unit are included in this spec sheet. When using the driver unit, the dimming control can be either wired DMX or wireless to suit your application. By connecting 2 x MR16 to each driver unit, the price per point is keep to a minimum, whilst achieving full control. The ArcSystem has been specifically developed for auditorium lighting applications where high quality extremely accurate and smooth dimming is required. The use of onboard Device Management in the driver allows all fittings to be addressed remotely using the ARCMCT (commissioning tool) with the ARCMTX1 (Wireless Gateway) ensuring installation is fast and simple for electrical contractors. In additional there is a Pro Range (ARCP), Please see separate data sheets. The Décor MR16 cell comes as a fixed recessed down light, or a yoke for surface mounting, and as a lamp specification. The lamp specification allows the MR16 unit to retro fit into existing or other manufacturers down light housings which take a standard MR16 lamp. Please check the décor MR16 LAMP has sufficient depth within the proposed light fitting, as the MR16 Lamp is deeper than normal MR16 tungsten lamps. The Y split adapter is used when 2 x MR16 units are to be used on 1 x ARCMD1D (Driver Unit). No other cables are required as all MR16 units come with fixed cables fitting with connector plug. 5 Technical Data Sheet Page 5 Control using the ARCMD1D (Driver) If using wireless control with the ARCMD1D driver, a wireless gateway will be required, part number ARCMTX1. When using the wireless control option, the system can be configured using the software and USB dongle (ARCMCT). In this case, DMX is connected to the transmission node and then the fittings are controlled wirelessly. The ARCMTX1 allows for other settings to be configured as listed below: Patching of groups of light fittings to DMX channels can use all 512 channels, but is limited to 64 groups in the Arc- System wireless realm. Minimum and maximum dimming levels per group Power fail/recovery options per group Preset recall when using button panels such as the ARCMCP8 If using the wired control option, DMX can be wired directly to the ARCMD1D driver using RJ45 connectors. Each driver has IN and THRU option, using 2 separate connectors. The commissioning tool along with the gateway allows for addressing of each driver remotely. Note, if using wired only option, a commissioning tool and wireless gateway will still be required for DMX addressing. This can then be removed from the system once addresses have been set. The Table below shows the lumen output of all ArcSystem fixtures at their corresponding CCT s. The values given are taken at 70 C fitting temperature, this is known as Hot Lumens, many manufacturers state lumen output at 25 C, this may show a higher output than is realistic.
