2 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace. Jeremiah 29:7

3 Day 1 Day 2 Pray that God would bring revival and vision to our churches and cities, so that we once again become passionate for the lost and return to our first love. Pray that our urban churches become missional churches. Pray for urban churches to celebrate services relevant to their locations, where the main purpose of every service is to deeply seek God and worship Him, being sensitive to the non-christians as well as ministering to the followers of Christ. Proverbs 11:11 Day 3 Pray that our congregations are moved to compassion and that the entire community sees this compassion as an example of the body of Christ around them. Matthew 14:14 Day 5 Pray that churches would take the opportunity in every service to invite people to accept the Lord into their hearts. Pray also that our strategies of evangelism would be relevant to our communities, and that God would open doors for life transformation to take place. Acts 13:47 Day 4 Let us pray that everyone would come to understand the need to have someone help guide, offer advice, wisdom, and support them in their Christian life. Pray that this would become a natural response for each member in the church when someone comes to Christ. Pray that we would all disciple someone and help them to grow into mature Christians. Matthew 28:19-20 Day 6 Pray that God will awaken in us a passion for our cities, so that more people become involved in planting churches in new areas and establishing missionary preaching points amidst the millions of inhabitants in each urban area. 4 Day 7 Pray that churches continue to live out the message of holiness in practical ways. Pray that pastors would use these experiences in their sermons so that all will be encouraged to live a life of holiness. 1 Peter 1:15-16 Day 9 Pray that our congregations would be unified and healthy. Ask God to remove any division that might exist between us. Pray that we would have a unified vision in our ministries, with one foundational goal: making Christlike disciples. Day 8 Pray that God would raise up pastors and missionaries, a generation of men and women willing to leave everything to preach the gospel of salvation. Pray that they would feel a burning passion for the city and be moved to mercy. Also, pray that our churches would be ready to send them and support them in their mission. Acts 13:3 Day 10 Pray that our churches always understand that intercessory prayer is the key to successful church ministry. Pray that we develop intercessory prayer warriors so God may hear our cries for our cities and the world. John 17:22-23 Day 11 Pray that there would be a spirit of giving in our churches, and that we would learn to give and not just receive. Pray that new converts see the generosity of the church and that it meets the needs of their members, their community and the world. 1 Timothy 2:1 Day 12 Pray that our churches perform self-evaluations and communicate those results to each respective level of leadership and make changes when indicated to fulfill the mission effectively. 5 Day 13 Ask God to place a burden on our churches and pastors to teach our young people and adults about the consequences of falling into excessive consumerism. Pray that our cities not be based on materialism, but rather seek to build up treasures in heaven. Pray that the church would provide teaching on these subjects. Matthew 6:33 Day 15 Pray that the drug use in our cities be reduced, and that the church would become a place of support and comfort for families suffering from the effects of addiction. Pray that God would reveal Himself to new generations. Day 14 Pray that, as Nazarenes, we would be passionate about our cities and become involved in making disciples. Pray also that God would use us to bring peace and well-being to the urban centers. Jeremiah 29:7 Day 16 Pray for children, that God would put angels around them for protection. Pray that in our cities children would be protected and the church would love and support them. Ephesians 5:18 Day 17 Pray that the government and private entities would work toward bringing more employment opportunities to people who live in our cities. Pray that the economy improves and families would be selfsupportive. Pray for economic development in general. Matthew 19:4 Day 18 Pray that the divorce rate decreases, that marriages will be strengthened, and our churches would be examples of Christ-centered marriages. Pray for the children who have been affected by divorce. Genesis 1:28 Matthew 19:6

6 Day 19 Pray that both the government and our churches would provide support to the most vulnerable children, the disabled, people with mental disabilities, the elderly, and others. Pray that together we would love them and care for them and their well-being. Hebrews 13:3 Day 21 Pray that our cities continue to maintain their identity and culture. Pray that young people will be attracted to their roots and find healthy ways to express who they are culturally and artistically. Pray that people would come together and develop ways to create Godhonoring art in each city without breaking laws or bringing harm in any way. Exodus 35:31 Day 23 Pray that rates of homicide, robbery and violence be reduced. Pray that our neighborhoods rise to the challenge to organize against these things and that our government begin helping to address these issues. Day 20 Pray that fewer women and men become victims of family conflict and domestic violence. Pray that the churches would respond to these situations with wisdom, ready to counsel and host workshops on these issues to bring awareness and give people hope. 1 Corinthians 1:10 Day 22 Pray for people who are depressed and despondent, that they would find hope instead of attempting suicide. Pray that the church would be a vital lifeline for those with suicidal thoughts, and especially pray for the young people who need more support in this area. Matthew 7:21 Day 24 Ask God to move in our government to build and create more safe places, such as parks, in the cities, to bring a place of refuge to the people living in chaos. Pray that the church also be drawn to create such places. Psalm 5:6 Exodus 34:21

7 Day 25 Pray that the number of women and children used as prostitutes be reduced in our cities. Pray that as a church we love them unconditionally and develop a passion to bring the love of the gospel and hope of salvation to them. John 8:11 Day 27 Pray that as Christian stewards, we would cherish and care for where God has placed us. Pray that the people in our cities would become good stewards as well and raise awareness for our environment. Pray that our churches would lead the way in these initiatives. Genesis 2:15 Day 29 Pray that attacks of guerrilla groups in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean be decreased. Pray that the drug cartels would be hindered from moving into these areas. Ask God to bring peace to our cities, that no wars would be unleashed, that people can move through the streets safely and for the church to be an agent of peace in each city. Day 26 Pray for our Presidents, Prime Ministers, councils, ministries, etc. Pray that they do not turn to corruption, but become transparent and work for the people. Ask that God would provide a means for them to develop programs and ways to change and enhance each city. 1 Timothy 2:2 Day 28 Pray that our government strategically plans for the growth of cities, so that roads are expanded, neighborhoods and homes are well thought-out, and utilities function, etc. Pray also that the Church would develop plans to accommodate growth in their cities. Proverbs 27:23 Day 30 Pray that each city has sufficient resources to meet the health needs of the community. Ask that patients would receive quality medical care, and pray especially that the church would again believe in divine healing. Pray that our people would be burdened to pray for healing and teach that God is a God of healing. 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 Mark 16:18

8 Day 31 Pray that education would improve the quality of life for many, but would do so without departing from biblical principles. Ask God to inspire educators to remain responsible and passionate about teaching growing generations. Pray that this upcoming generation would impact their cities positively through the goals they will achieve and the education they have received. 1 Timothy 4:13 Day 33 Pray for our Field Strategy Coordinators and their families, and for each District Superintendent. Pray that they will motivate and inspire their pastors and leaders to reach their cities for Christ. Thessalonians 5:12-13 Day 35 Day 32 Pray that God will bless and cover the life of Dr. Carlos Saenz and his family. Brother Carlos has many responsibilities as he leads and represents our region. Pray for him and his family s health, spiritual life and general well-being. Hebrews 13:7 Day 34 Pray that God would give our regional ministry coordinators new and fresh ideas and strategies to reach the needs of our lost and dying world for Christ. Pray that these strategies be received and utilized within our local churches. Romans 13:1 Day 36 Pray that God will move within each district to find a strategy to win their cities. Pray that leadership is strengthened and many more people come to know Jesus. Ask God to renew the strength and passion of our pastors for their city and beyond. Pray that as a church our calling to support and help them would be renewed as well. Pray that every pastor has their "Timothy" to stand in the gap with them and that God would continue to renew their spirit, vision and calling in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:18 Romans 12:2

9 Day 37 Day 38 Pray that all the people in the current and future Genesis sites come to know the message of Christian perfection and want to join our Nazarene family. Pray that God will direct those who are leading. Pray that we would have effective strategies and consistent leadership in these areas to multiply and grow. Pray for Crystalla and Cleon in Grenada; Eunice, Merit and Freivy in San Pedro Sula, Honduras; Nhasyeli, Laritza and Natali in Guadalajara, Mexico; and Sugey and Wendy in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Pray that God will multiply their strength and courage, look after them, use them and allow them to continue their lives in Christian ministry. 2 Corinthians 5:20 Day 39 Romans 10:15 Day 40 Ask God for people to accept His gift of salvation this year. Pray the harvest would be great. Pray those who have heard, but not yet accepted Jesus be moved by His prevenient grace in Pray for a Holy fire and a Holy passion to start a revival that spills into cities in Pray there is a vision of love and that we reach souls through the power of the Holy Spirit.
