2 STORYTIMES AT THE LIBRARY Your Library has many programs and resources to help you talk, sing, read, write, and play with your child. Bring your children to the Library and enjoy it together! Spring sessions run weeks of March 28-May 21, Registered Storytimes Some storytimes require registration in person at the library where the program is taking place. For the Spring Session, registration begins Saturday February 27, Please note that parents are responsible for their children s supervision at all times in the Library. Although most registered programs are now free, space is limited in all programs, and registration is required. Library programs are for everyone. If a participant requires personal support in order to participate, a support person will be admitted to the program. Let your babies explore new toys and books, and learn to interact with other babies. This program is a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet and build new friendships. The last 15 minutes of the program will be a storytime/song session. Limited to 15 babies. Each week presents a new theme, new idea books to look at, and the building begins. Space is limited to the first 30 participants. A fun program filled with stories, bounces and lots of laughs for pre-crawlers. Caregivers participate actively. Ages: Birth-18 M Sessions: 8 Central, Children s Mar :45 am Tu Special Program: We re ONE-derful Storytime A one-derful storytime for children 12 to 24 months plus their adult caregiver. First stories, music, rhymes, and whole body movement. Sing along with the storyteller it s fun for all! Ages: M Sessions: 8 Central, Children s Mar :45 am M Special Program: Terrific TWOs Storytime A fun storytime for toddlers aged 24 to 36 months plus their adult caregiver. Join in with the stories, music, songs and rhymes. Ages: M Sessions: 8 Central, Children s Mar :45 am Th Preschool Storytime Based on the five Every Child Ready to Read early literacy skills (talk, sing, read, write and play), preschoolers and caregivers will learn and explore basic FUNdamentals in our action-packed and hands-on Preschool Programs! Letters will be celebrated and we will read, sing, rhyme and discover many other simple concepts together, including numbers, colours, shapes, opposites, and much more! We will team you with a Big Buddy partner for individualized reading practice. Meet weekly for 1 hour over an 8 week period. This is a free program for children in Grades 1-3.
