11 Uterine Fibroids Benign tumors growing in your uterus. Extremely common up to 50% of us. Some have no symptoms, others cause severe pain. Get tested by asking for a pelvic exam or ultrasound.

21 Adenomyosis Menstrual lining digs deep into uterus. Similar to endometriosis but often starts later in life or after cesarean. Causes abnormal bleeding, pain, difficulty before and after sex. Get tested with a pelvic exam, ultrasound or MRI.

22 Adenomyosis Birth control therapy or IUDs help to decrease heavy bleeding.

23 Adenomyosis Some women try to wait until menopause, when symptoms may abate.

25 Uterine Prolapse Uterus dropping into the vaginal canal. Multiple vaginal births = higher risk, but even chronic cough can cause. Causes lower backache, frequent urination, painful intercourse. Your doctor can help measure the position of your uterus.
