1 Thank you for considering the Hilton London Euston. We are pleased to give you some information about our hotel that you may find useful when planning your visit. Arriving at the hotel You should use the main entrance of the hotel and ring the bell to get the attention of the reception team if you need help. The main entrance has six steps with a revolving door and two side doors. After midnight we lock the front doors and there are two doorbells on the right-hand side. One is at the bottom of the stairs and the second one is on the top of the stairs. As the hotel is a listed building, we do not have a ramp to gain access to the hotel, but we can provide a stairclimber to help you into the hotel. There is no official drop-off point outside the hotel. The nearest parking bays are either to the left of the hotel or in Endsleigh Gardens. There are two NCP car parks nearby, one is in Euston Station and the other is at the Royal National Hotel. The hotel is in the congestion-charge zone. 1

2 There are no disabled parking bays nearby. Welcome and reception There are no steps in the main lobby area. The concierge desk is in the lobby on the left-hand side near the main entrance of the hotel. The check-in desk is on the right-hand side of the lobby. The surfaces in the lobby area are marble. From the reception area, the lifts are on your left. Check-in is at the main reception, which is xxx high. However if you ask, a member of staff will be able to come to the concierge desk, which is lower and help you fill in the information. The induction loop is at the left-hand side of the reception desk. When you check in, our staff will tell you about our evacuation policy and give you written information on the evacuation procedure. Toilet facilities There are two sets of public toilets in the hotel. One set is on the ground floor and there is also a separate accessible toilet on the ground floor. The other set is on the lower ground 2

3 floor in our meeting area and there is no specific accessible toilet. Phones There is one public phone on the lower ground floor near the entrance to Mulberrys restaurant. It is low enough to use if you are in a wheelchair. Getting round the hotel All lifts have an announcement system to let you know which floor you are on. The lifts have mirrors on the right and left wall. Our breakfast is served between 7am and 10am weekdays and between 7am and 11am on weekends and bank holidays in our Mulberrys Restaurant, which is on the lower ground floor. Access is either by the stairs or the lift. Other facilities If you want to order a newspaper, please contact the reception team. We will deliver your newspaper to your room each day. You can order a wake-up call through the reception team. Or you can set a wake-up call in your room using either the phone system or the television. You can find our guest information on our television system. If you need any more information, contact our concierge or any team member. 3

4 Woburn Place bar You can get to the bar from the main lobby. The entrance is on the left behind the concierge desk and there are no steps to the bar. At the moment there is no Braille menu available. However, staff will be happy to read out the menu. The bar has wooden flooring with an inlaid carpet in the middle. 4

5 Woburn Place restaurant The restaurant is six steps from the lobby or the far end of the bar. Please ask staff for help, who will be happy to help you to get to the restaurant by using our stairclimber. The restaurant has wooden flooring with an inlaid carpet in the middle. At the moment there is no Braille menu available. However, staff will be happy to read out the menu. Profile Health club The health club has six steps and staff will be able to help you by using our stairclimber. Once in the health club the surface is even and tiled, with some rubber mats in the free weight area, which rise one inch off the floor. There is also an outside area, which is covered with wooden decking. The changing rooms are easily accessible. However, they do not have an accessible shower. You can use the equipment, free weights and some machines with the help of the health club staff. 5

6 Bedrooms There is one fully accessible room with a wheel-in shower (twin), grab rails around the toilet, emergency pull cords and lower switches. There is one adaptable room (deluxe) with an adjustable sink, bathtub and shower. There is one adaptable room (twin) with a bathtub and lower sink unit. All rooms have wider door to allow access for wheelchairs. Your room will have a chair at the desk, two comfy chairs and a coffee table. If you need any of these removed, please contact reservations before you arrive or housekeeping during your stay. All rooms have tea- and coffee-making facilities, TV, a direct dial phone and movies on demand. 6

7 In an emergency If you hear the fire alarm, stay in your room until a staff member reaches you. We will send them immediately and we will call you to confirm. The staff member will knock on your door and enter using a fire-access card. They will then help you either to a safe area or to the fire assembly point. If we help you to a safe point, we will give you further instructions. Please do not stop to collect your personal belongings. If you need medication, please collect it and keep it safe. If a member of staff cannot reach your room carefully open the door and check your route to the safe area. If it is blocked with fire or smoke, go back into your bedroom and close the door. Your door will protect you for one hour. As soon as the fire brigade arrive, we will tell them your room number. Do not block the door with anything, including towels, or this will prevent the fire service entering quickly. Do not open any windows, as this can increase the air circulating, and increase smoke and flames. If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door behind you, breaking a fire alarm if possible on your way out. If we need to use the fire stairs, we will transfer you into a lightweight evacuation chair and carry you down the stairs and outside. When outside we will transfer you again into another chair. Thank you for your co-operation with our fire procedures. We carry out a fire alarm test every Thursday at 1 pm. We turn the alarm on and off several times during that test. 7

10 Conference facilities We have five meeting rooms, which we can split into 11 smaller rooms. The meeting rooms are called Scott, Cubitt, Inwood, Bedford and Stephenson. The meeting rooms are all on the lower ground floor. Scott and Inwood have natural daylight. The meeting rooms and the foyer area are all carpeted. We have three of the meeting rooms with a call button if you need help. You can arrange to hire audio-visual equipment before your event. Please let the Conference and Events Department know when making your booking. We do not have a business centre. However, our Conference and Events and reception team will be able to help you with any photocopying. We can provide a portable induction if you ask. 10

11 Scott This room is on the lower ground floor and you can get to it using the stairs or the lift. Once you come down the stairs or out of the lift, turn left and then left again. You will come to a separate corridor and you need to turn right. The room is at the end of this corridor on the left-hand side. The door is 90cm wide. Cubitt This room is on the lower ground floor and you can reach it using the stairs or the lift. Once you come down the stairs or out of the lift, turn left and then left again. You will come to a separate corridor and you need to turn right. The room is on the left-hand side of the corridor. The door is 90cm wide. Inwood This room is on the lower ground floor and you can get to it using the stairs or the lift. Once you come down the stairs or out of the lift, turn left and then left again. You will come to a separate corridor and you need to turn left. The room is on the right-hand side of the corridor. The door is 90cm wide. Bedford This room is on the lower ground floor and you can get to it using the stairs or the lift. Once you come down the stairs or out of the lift, turn right and you will see a double door and small separate corridor. This is where the Bedford Suite is. The doors are 135 cm and 90cm wide. Stephenson This room is on the lower ground floor and you can get to it using the stairs or the lift. Once you come down the stairs or out of the lift, turn left and it will be in front of you. The room has a large foyer area that you can use for coffee breaks or as a registration desk. The doors are 180cm and 90cm wide. Toilet facilities 11

12 There are toilets close to the Scott. These are not accessible toilets. An accessible toilet is on the ground floor if you go past reception towards the health club. It is on the left-hand side.
