JUSTIFICATION WITHIN THE DEGREE, RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER SUBJECTS AND WITH PROFESSIONAL PROSPECTS The subject "Performance in Handball" contributes at the student's formation in the itinerary of Sport Training. it develops capacities to be able to train teams of handballball of different levels, together with the rest of subjects of the Sport Performance. The student sums up in the environment of the handballball what has developed in others matters in a general way as: "Processes of Teaching-learning in the Physical Activity and the Sport"; "Psychology of the Physical Activity and the Sport"; "Theory and Practice of the Sport Training ; "Methodology of the Teaching of the Activity Physics and the Sport" and with the optional subject "Control and Valuation of the Sport Performance and Detection of Talents". This subject is related over all with "Fundamentals of Sport Team I" (Handball) where the students have developed the bases of technician-tactical means and the bases of teaching and training handballball on the first steps. When the student finishes the subject they will have knowledge to be able to train (preparation technician-tactics and physics) handballball teams in differents contexts (activities extraescolares, associations) and of Performance (sport clubs). Also they will have possibility to design, to coordinate and to execute plannings for teaching-training handball on the initiation. 4. DEGREE COMPETENCES PROMOTED IN THE SUBJECT 5. AIMS OR EXPECTED RESULTS - To design and to train means of colective tactical in atack and defence - To develop the physical capacities of the handball players - To plan different periods of a handball team. - To establish strategies to coach a team. - To distinguish and to apply the principles to design the collective tactical means in atack and defence. - To apply in practical seasson the principies of teaching tactical colectives means following the rules methodological appropriate. - To know the physical demands of the handball. - To know, to design and to apply means to develop the physical capacities of handball players. - To know the factors or variables to keep in mind in the planning of one season. - To know the the characteristics of a handball team and how to coach it. 3 6. CONTENTS BLOCK I: COLECTIVE TACTICAL MEANS. GAME SYSTEMS The game systems of attack. Principles for the construction of a offensive game system Concepts of attack systems against diferents defense systems The counterattack Attack systems in special situations The defense game systems. Principles for the construction of a defensive game system Defense of the counterattack and defensive transition. BLOCK II: SPECIFIC PHYSICAL PREPARATION IN HANDBALL General considerations about the Performance factors in handball. The physical demands of the handball and their application to the training. BLOCK III. APPLIED METHODOLOGY TO THE TRAINING General considerations for the teaching-training of the game systems. BLOCK IV. PLANNING OF THE TRAINING General considerations on the planning of differnets periods in handball. Factors to keep in mind. BLOCK VI. COACHING THE TEAM The coach role. The attention to the characteristics of the players. How to manage the team The scouting and analysis of the own team and teams rivals. 4 7. ACTIVITIES AND METHODOLOGY 8. EVALUATION CRITERIA 9. GRADING Class of presentation of works to develop in the classroom. following the professor's rules (Sessions practice). solve problems and to present it to the rest of the partners (Resolution of problems). The students collaborate in group works to develop a proposal of aspecific topic of the subjet. Each group expose their partners and they discusses collectively. To approve the subject it is necessary: a) to Overcome an exam with the following evaluated approaches: - To know the physical demands of the handball. - To know the means to develop the physical capacities of the handball players. - To distinguish the principles to design the tactical means. - To know the factors or variables to keep in mind in the Planning of a season. - To know strategies for coaching the team. b) To develop and to overcome the related works with the contents of the subject. They will be evaluate the following approaches: - To design and to apply means to develop the physical capacities of the handball players. - To apply the principles to design the tactical means. - To develop the tactical means following the appropriate methodological rules. - To design the planning of diferents periods of a team of handball - To design strategies for the team management.
