3 HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE EXAMS 1. First, give in your personal details at The English Institute. However, you are able to sign up by by giving us the following information: -Complete name and surname(s) -ID number -Date of birth -Address (especially the town/city) - (if applicable) -Telephone number -Level that you would like to sign up for -Date that you would like to sign up for (in the case of YLE, for statistical reasons in Cambridge, we also ask you to tell us the candidate s country of origin and mother tongue) 2. Second, pay the corresponding fees in La Caixa, C/ Marqués de Campo, 64, Denia. C/C: ES (Please, ensure you have included the name of the candidate in the concept. If you do not, it may make it difficult for us to know who to apply the payment to.) (Also, please note that the candidate is not fully signed up for the exam until payment has been made. Since SPACES ARE LIMITED in the majority of the sittings, especially in the Computer-Based versions. For that reason, when a candidate signs up for the exam, he/she is reserving his/her place. From that moment, he/she has two days to pay the examination fees. 4 Informative notes* Ensure that you have signed up for the correct exam. Once sent, Cambridge does not permit any candidate to change the level of the exam nor the session of the exam they have signed up for. You can cancel the enrolment only up until the day the period of enrolment has closed. In this case, you will receive the fee you paid, subtracting the cancellation fee. After that date, no cancellation or refund will be permitted except in the case of illness, and only then when handing in medical proof. Each student will receive a timetable of the exams (Confirmation of Entry). If 21 days before the date of the written exam you still have not received it, it is the responsibility of each student to get in contact with The English Institute in order to find out the exact times and dates. In the case of Computer- Based Exams, you will be sent the timetable a week before the date of the written exam. There exists the possibility, but no guarantee, o being able the change the date and time of the speaking exam, taking into consideration that once the programme has been set up, any change of one candidate will have to be agreed upon with another candidate, since they will have to exchange their times with each other. However, no candidate can ask for times or dates outside the set examination period. The date of the written exam cannot be changed given that it is the same for all countries in the world. The Speaking exams for CPE, CAE, FCE, PET and KET will be done in groups of two, and only in exceptional cases, groups of three. **** VERY IMPORTANT ****: Candidates should arrive 15 minutes before each part of the exam, and have with them the Confirmation of Entry and a current picture I.D. THE I.D. (GENERALLY, DNI OR PASSPORT) IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY ON THE DAY OF THE EXAM. IT MUST BE VALID AND THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT. A PHOTOCOPIED VERSION OR ONE SCANNED IN DIGITAL FORMAT ARE UNACCEPTABLE. Before each part of the exam, all the candidates will be told to leave all personal belongings in a designated place. They will only need the following items: pen, pencil (types B or HB), rubber, pencil sharpener, Confirmation of Entry and I.D. The date when the results will be available on-line is mentioned on the Confirmation of Entry. The person that collects the certificate must show a picture ID. The decision of Cambridge University on the results of the exams is final and in no case will it return the exams to the candidate.
