2 CALL FOR ENTRIES 2013 Mujer Creadora Mujer Creadora launches its 7 th open call for entries, aimed to artists from all over the world. This international meeting, born in 2007, is marked by gender dimension and citizen involvement. It is based on a combination of different actions (information, education, art and awareness actions) that attempts to expose rural population to new artistic languages. Mujer Creadora takes place in October 17-20, in Los Santos de Maimona (Badajoz, Spain) and some other locations in Badajoz and Portugal. Mujer Creadora offers support and promotes cooperation among cultural agents, entities, population, cultures and regions, in order to create new opportunities for knowledge exchange and intercultural dialogue. It is an international meeting of conscious artists, concerned for their environment, who use art and culture to improve society. We are looking for directors, dramatists, performers, video-artists, choreographers, dancers, as well as people from any field of the Cultural and Creative Industries, who want to participate in VII INTERNATIONAL MEETING MUJER CREADORA 2013.

3 1- FORMS OF PARTICIPATION: There are three different areas: Technical Conference Meeting Participation activities (workshops, dynamic exercises...) Artistic Festival (visual arts, performing arts...) Technical Conference Meeting. Estimated duration: conference 20 minutes; micro-conference 5-10 minutes You should specify: topic, type of audience, estimated duration and object, in order to evaluate the affinity with our philosophy. Application form and a letter of motivation are required. Actividades de Participación Maximum duration: 2 hours. Modalities: Workshops, talks, group dynamics. Other suggestions are welcome. Application form and a letter of motivation are required. Artistic Festival Maximum duration: 20 minutes. Modalities: dance, theatre, monologues, performances, circus, visual pieces. Any other artistic actions and suggestions are welcome. Requested information:

It should include: discipline and format of the show, participants, audience, length, time for staging, technical necessities. o Images (High quality) o Video (In case of performing proposals) o All you consider that supports your project and makes it valuable. o Shipment methods: Regular mail delivery or We Transfer. Please, use just one file with all the information inside and an identifying name. We do not pay any mail fee. The person who sings the application should be the copyright holder. The applicant will be solely responsible for any claim or legal action. Proposals should be adaptable to any kind of stage, conventional or not. Applicants are requested to send the enclosed application and a letter of motivation to participación@mujercreadora.es until May, 28th. 5 Attendance and participation should be confirmed in writing by participants once selection has been communicated. 2 -DATES AND VENUE Selected applicants will be invited to participate in Mujer Creadora International Meeting 2013 during October Some actions could take place during October Dates will definitely arrange with each participant. -Deadlines for application and acceptance: Submission deadline: 28 th May Selection of participants: 29 th May-7 th June Decision will be notified via . Letter of attendance and participation should be sent within 10 business days of the notification mail by selected applicants. 3- SELECTION CRITERIA: Proposals shall be assessed according to artistic interest, social values, gender dimension, and/or actions targeted at specific groups. Proposals adaptable to any kind of stage will be particularly assessed. Emerging artist and companies as well as co-productions, artistic groups, and creations from artistic centres and programmes shall be especially welcome. Proposals which support a culture of creation and sharing knowledge will be especially valuated.

6 The Organization will take in account the spirit of participation, learning, and exchange of ideas, solidarity and respect for colleagues, population and environment. Willingness to act in different occasions during October shall be particularly assessed. Any application or documents submitted after the deadline will be taken in account. Organization s decisions will be final. 4- ORGANIZATION S COMMITMENTS Organizers cover the cost entailed in participation. These costs include accommodation and meals. An incentive for participation will be given. Its amount will vary according to different standards. However, it will be determined and notified prior to acceptance. All participants will receive a certificate of participation. Logos of entities which support participants mobility will be publicised. Organization has civil liability insurance. We strongly recommend getting an international health insurance. Organizers commit to help and collaborate in solving any potential incident.

7 MOVING: Organization will pay internal trips between venues of Mujer Creadora. Organizers will give international participants a helping hand to reach Los Santos de Maimona from Madrid, Seville and Lisbon airports (We strongly recommend bringing a light baggage). Organization will not give any travel ticket. Organization will not pay for any cost of staging and materials transportation. Organization will give selected participants a letter of invitation (under request). ACOMODATION AND SUBSISTENCE: Organization will pay accommodation and subsistence expenses during October (as well as October in case of more than one show) and the days after and before those, including: o o Acomodation: in different accommodations in this area. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. TECHNICAL ISSUES: Organization supply artists with minimum technical requirements, as well as technical assistants. Any special requirement should be provided by participants. Participants are responsible for their own equipment and other s.

8 5- PARTICIPANTS COMMITMENTS- Selected participants promise to keep in touch with the Organization, and provide all information required before, during and after the meeting. They must attend and participate in all activities, as a sign of respect and professionality, and in order to sustain the spirit of meeting and exchange proposed by Mujer Creadora. Organization is in charge of promotion and communication. Participants should be available for activities such interviews, press conferences, photo shootings, etc. 6- RULES- People and proposals selected will become part of Mujer Creadora visual material. Organization will not return any material sent by non-selected applicants. However, this material can be collected until 30 th of October in Mujer Creadora headquarter. Application means acceptance of these terms and conditions. In case of discrepancy between versions, the provisions set out in the Spanish version of this document will prevail.
