10 OGC 3D aktiviteetit 3DIM Domain Working Group is specifically focusing on facility planning, emergency management, asset management, and navigation. All of these involve convergence of technologies: 3D visualization, CAD-GIS integration, Building Information Models (BIM), Industry Foundation Classes (IFC), Information Delivery Manuals (IDM), Model View Definitions (MVD), Web services, security, and digital rights management. 21 ISO/TC 211 Scope of ISO/TC 211 Standardization in the field of digital geographic information. This work aims to establish a structured set of standards for information concerning objects or phenomena that are directly or indirectly associated with a location relative to the Earth. These standards may specify, for geographic information, methods, tools and services for data management (including definition and description), acquiring, processing, analyzing, accessing, presenting and transferring such data in digital/electronic form between different users, systems and locations. This work shall link to appropriate standards for information technology and data where possible, and provide a framework for the development of sector-specific applications using geographic data.

24 ISO/TC 59 Buildings and civil engineering works Scope: Standardization in the field of buildings and civil engineering works, of: general terminology; organization of information in the processes of design, manufacture and construction; general geometric requirements for buildings, building elements and components including modular coordination and its basic principles, general rules for joints, tolerances and fits; general rules for other performance requirements, including functional and user requirements related to service life, sustainability, accessibility and usability; general rules and guidelines for addressing the economic, environmental and social impacts and aspects related to sustainable development; geometric and performance requirements for components that are not in the scope of separate ISO technical committees; procurement processes, methods and procedures. 24

26 ISO/TC 184 Automation systems and integration Scope: Standardization in the field of automation systems and their integration for design, sourcing, manufacturing and delivery, support, maintenance and disposal of products and their associated services. Areas of standardization include information systems, robotics for fixed and mobile robots in industrial and specific non-industrial environments, automation and control software and integration technologies. These standards may utilize other standards and technologies beyond the scope of TC 184, such as machines, equipment, information technologies, multi-media capabilities, and multi-modal communication networks. 26
