2 ART AMBIENCE FINE ART EXHIBITION & FINE ART MINIATURE SHOW 2014 Entry Procedure Eligibility: Artists 18 years and older, residing in one of the Downriver communities of Allen Park, Belleville, Brownstown Township, Carleton, Ecorse, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile Township, Huron Township, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, New Boston, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Romulus, Southgate, Sumpter Township, Taylor, Trenton, Van Buren Township, Woodhaven, and Wyandotte are eligible. Submission: Work previously accepted in an Art Ambience Fine Art Show cannot be submitted again. Under no circumstance is fine artwork to be removed from gallery before exhibition ends. The committee reserves the right to reject unprepared entries or questionable work. Artists are encouraged to maintain their own insurance and are responsible for all sale taxes. Enter original Artwork only, no prints or giclee. Artwork must be prepared for proper display. Large paintings are to be framed with Plexiglas. Hanging Art work must be framed, wired from hooks at each side, and ready for hanging. Top center hooks are not acceptable (i.e. saw tooth hangers). Small items (i.e. jewelry, sculpture, glass, etc.) must be submitted in enclosed display cases. ARTWORK INCLUDING MINIATURES must be labeled on the reverse side with title, medium, artist s name and price. ALL WORK MUST BE FOR SALE Size Limitations: Juried Art Show Entries: All work must be no larger than 160 inches in circumference (including mat and frame). Diptychs/ triptychs are not acceptable as such. Plexiglas framing required for large artwork. Miniature Art Show Entries: Art work must be no larger than 24 inches in circumference. (Not including the frame). Entry Fee (includes miniature show): Art Ambience Members - $20 Nonmembers - $30 Fee is non-refundable. Entries: Maximum of Three (3) entries for Spring Fine Art Exhibition Maximum of Five (5) entries for Fine Art Miniature Show. Art hung as space permits. Complete entry form and mail with fee to: Art Ambience, c/o Judy Nelms, Balmoral, Grosse Ile, MI Entries must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, April 9, Make check/money order payable to Art Ambience. Delivery of Art Work: Artwork delivered to Woodhaven Community Center, Hall Road, Woodhaven, (Hall Rd is located off West Road, one block West of I 75, second building on the left). Sat., April 19, 11 a.m. - 1p.m. Any special handling is the responsibility of the artist. Jury Results: Pick up Artwork not accepted between 3-3:30 p.m. Sat., April 19 at the Woodhaven Community Center (calls to artists if artwork is not accepted to the phone number listed on the application). Pick up Artwork on Sunday, May 5th between 5 and 5:30 p.m. $10 fee for artk not picked up as scheduled. Twenty percent (20%) commission on all sales to benefit Art Ambience Questions?
