1 EMPLOYER INFORMATION JOB DESCRIPTION: NASCAR SPEEDPARK LOCATION: SEVIERVILLE (PIGEON FORGE), TENNESSEE EMPLOYER NASCAR SPEEDPARK, SEVIERVILLE, TN JOB TITLE/ JOB DESCRIPTION From Janus International Hospitality Student Exchange US State Department Designated J-1 Sponsor Agency Jefferson Davis Hwy, Ruther Glen, VA Phone: Fax: Ride and Track Attendant: Explain the rules of the ride to guests and enforce the rules for guest safety. Assist with loading and unloading as needed. Ensure ride is operating properly. Operate rides in accordance with government standards and company rules and regulations. Sell tickets and wristbands to guests; operate computerized cash register and make change; process credit card transactions. Clean the area Student will be trained on each Ride & Attraction student are asked to operate. Report any malfunction immediately to supervisor. Maintain visual contact with the ride and guest. Complete daily inspections and checklists Knowledge of US currency is a must. Take and help fill order and check for accuracy. Prepare food for sale. Stock redemption games and tickets; keep games stocked and attractively displayed. Please see detailed Job Description on page 4 Some students to work also as Food & Beverage Attendant hosts (prepare food & drinks, clean, cashing, assist customers, etc. ) Students have to be prepared for high and low Park attendance and work as many as possible hours during high peak business and expect low hours during the slow weeks (end of August/beginning of September) of the Park operation! ENGLISH LEVEL Intermediate EMPLOYMENT POSITION INFORMATION WORK DATES Start Dates: May 15 th June 10th End Dates: August 25 th September 15 th HOURLY RATE PAY Ride & Track Attendant - $9.50 per regular hour, OT: time and a half AVERAGE # OF HOURS Average work hours per week for the summer will be 32 per week. Students might seek part time employment outside of NASCAR Park, however, we will emphasize that NASCAR must be given priority for scheduling, since it is the host employer on the DS-2019 form Students have to be prepared for high and low Park attendance and work as many as possible hours during high peak business and expect low hours during the slow weeks (end of August/beginning of September) of the Park operation! PAYCHECK FREQUENCY Paychecks paid bi-weekly TRANSPORTATION TO WORK Trolley, bicycle or walk UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS Shirt is provided, student must purchase steel-toed shoes, khaki pants or shorts GROOMING CODE Yes. Facial hair for men should be clean shaven and hair above collar length. Good personal hygiene is a must, including daily shower and bath and use of deodorant. No visible tattoos or facial piercing during work REASONABLE EXPECTATION Much depends on the economic conditions in the U.S. during your employment. We can make no guarantee of overtime or the availability of second (part-time) jobs. If you find a part time job, please make sure that you prioritize your obligation to your primary employer.
