1 Relevance of the program:- Marine Insurance being international in nature has a global impact even if underwritten in the home country as it is guided by many international laws. With the ever increasing trade between various nations there has been considerable evolution in the practices of marine Insurance. Participants will benefit from the review of the forms and clauses used to insure cargo transported by sea and a study of the special features of terms and conditions guiding it. Program Objectives:- Discuss the many risk factors associated with the transportation of goods in transit Compare Cargo Clauses A, B and C and discuss exclusions including inherent vice Understand the latest trends and developments relating to insuring cargo interests Updating on the current developments in war, strikes, terrorism and other forms of commotion. Fully understand the methods of packaging and their impact Discussions on Effective Claims Procedures to avoid Maritime Fraud Revise the legal and practical aspects of general average Discuss security and enforcement of marine claims Participants Profile:- This program is designed for the junior and middle level participants from the Insurance Companies/Brokers/Surveyors Program Duration: - 4 days from 06 th to 09 th June, 2016 Timing : a.m. to p.m. 1

2 Enrolment: To enrol for the training program please download the enrolment form and after filling in the necessary details submit your form and fees to the office of Insurance Institute of India, Plot C- 46, G-Block, Near Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai not later than 30 th May, You can also do online enrolment through s website on or before 30 th May, Course Fees:- a) Participants requiring residential facilities: Total amount Required Rs.17940/-i.e. (Rs 15600/- plus Service Tax 14% + Swatch Bharat Cess 0.05% + Krishi Kalyan Cess 0.05%). The fees include tuition, course material, A/C single room accommodation in the Institute s campus and full boarding (bed tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, light refreshments in the evening and dinner). All rooms are fully furnished with attached bathroom and Internet facility. Rooms are reserved noon onwards the day prior to the commencement of the program. The participants can stay till noon the next day, after the conclusion of the program. b) Non-residential participants: Total amount Required Rs.12880/-i.e. (Rs.11200/- plus Service Tax 14% + Swatch Bharat Cess 0.05% + Krishi Kalyan Cess 0.05%). The fees include tuition, course material and day boarding (i.e. tea/coffee during tea breaks and lunch for actual days of training). 2
