1 General Rules: 1. One student can participate in a maximum of 3 individual items and 2 group items. 2. Each item will be evaluated by 3 judges. 3. Evaluation will be done on the basis of the judging points described in this manual. Judges are selected from parents and teachers. 4. No one is allowed to judge an event in which his/her son or daughter is a participant. 5. No separate competition for boys and girls. 6. All who score 70% or above will be given Parish Gold Star award and 60-70% is "Parish Silver Star" award, as prizes. 7. No registration past due date will be accepted. 8. In group items, the participants should be within the same group level ( seniors, juniors etc...) 9. There will not be a second chance for participants to perform if their chest numbers are called on stage and they missed. (As we have more than 1 stage, the students should report to the coordinator on main stage before leaving to the next stage to avoid conflict). 10. Participants will strictly be identified by their Chest numbers only. ITEMS: Kindergarten- 1) Story telling 5min. 2) Song- 5 minutes (English or Malayalam Christian songs only; No Karaoke allowed) 3) Fancy Dress -1 min. (Church appropriate) Sub juniors (1-3rd grade) 1) Story Telling For First Grade only 2) Song -5 minutes( English or Malayalam Christian songs only; No Karaoke allowed ) 3) Fancy Dress -1 min. (Church appropriate) 4) Mono Act- 5 minutes (Church appropriate) 5) Single Dance- 5 min. ( Christian songs only) 6) Pencil drawing-45 minutes (A theme will be given one week before the competition, but the child has to draw it on the day, in church. Can use colors. Song: Total points -10 1point-selection of song- Christian songs only. 2 points Personal Presentation Expression, Confidence. 3 points- -voice, Pronunciation and memorize (whole song) 4 points -Rhythm - tune, pitch, type of song (whole song v/s 4 line chorus) Bible Reading: Total points points- Personal Presentation - Appearance, Confidence, Proper reference. 3 points-practice- Following the right way of Handling and Reading of the Holy Bible, eye contact 4 points- Language - Correct Pronunciation, Fluency- Flow of reading, comprehensible and audible.
