8 DANIELLE BRUNON FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR In 1998, after ten years devoted to coaching senior executives, Danielle Brunon founded a consultancy firm providing international relations and communications consulting to European decision-makers. Prior to founding BCL communications, she was international communications advisor to one of the five top senior executives of EDF (Directeur Général Adjoint) and then personal advisor for international communication to the Chairman and CEO for over six years. A dual French and American national, she speaks French, English, Italian, Spanish and can converse in German. She spent seven years in Rome and has also lived in Spain and Latin America. She obtained a BA in European History and French Literature from Columbia/ Barnard University in New York, and a Masters (DEA) in Comparative Linguistics from Université Paris V René Descartes, in 1995, where she taught linguistics until She holds a degree in Theology from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) and obtained a Baccalauréat Canonique de Théologie-Philosophie at the Jesuit University of Paris in 2008, focusing on communication ethics in a multicultural environment. TOM STEVENS Senior Editor Tom Stevens is Senior Editor at BCL communications. He started his career in legal publishing in London. He then worked as Senior Project Editor at a medical communications company, where he edited a wide variety of texts, ranging from books and technical texts to websites, publicity material and submissions to institutions such as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. He is interested in international development and environmental issues, having volunteered for the Refugee Council, provided research and writing assistance for Anti-Slavery International and worked as a teacher and program advisor in Lima, Peru. Tom holds a BA and an MSt in English Literature from the University of Oxford. He has been with BCL since he moved to Paris in He is fluent in Spanish and French and speaks some Portuguese. PATRICIA STUMPF Head of Coordination Patricia Stumpf joined BCL communications as Head of Coordination in Holding dual American and Hungarian citizenship, Patricia has used her multilingual skills and understanding of cross-cultural communication in international education program management and development, teaching and translation. She holds a BA from Georgetown University, Washington DC, and is currently completing a Masters 2 at Paris X University on medieval Hungarian architecture. Patricia is fluent in English, French and Hungarian and has studied Chinese. PHILIP GOLUB International Relations Consultant Philip Golub has taught international relations at the Institut d Etudes Européennes, Université Paris VIII, the American University of Paris and at the Institut d Études Politiques ( Sciences Po ). He is also editorial advisor for a number of publications and a regular contributor to radio and television. Of multidisciplinary background (anthropology, international relations, history), Philip Golub has lived and worked in the United States, Europe and East Asia. Philip has been consulting with BCL communications since its inception in SUSAN DAVIDSON-GORSKA Financial Communications Consultant Susan Davidson-Gorska spent seventeen years in the investment banking industry working for BZW (Barclays) and BNP-Paribas in both London and Paris, where she was equity specialist, in charge of roadshows and research on over a hundred international companies. Susan holds an MA in English Literature from Cambridge University. JENNIFER MCDONALD International Communications Consultant After two years as Head Translator for equity specialists at BZW (Barclays) and two years as Editor-in-Chief at a company focusing on financial translation, where she was in charge of training and quality control for a team of over 30 translators, Jennifer McDonald specialised as a freelance financial translator and communications consultant (annual reports, financial reporting, roadshows, press releases). She holds a BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara in Political Science, History and French Literature. She moved to France in 1987 and has been working with BCL communications since LETITIA FARRIS TOUSSAINT International Communications Consultant Having studied sciences in California and at the Université Paris VII- Jussieu, Letitia Farris Toussaint worked in international communications, research and conservation with such organisations as the French Natural History Museum and the World Wildlife Fund. For the latter, for instance, she managed an international sustainable development project in French Guiana. She joined BCL in She has written a number of articles and co-authored two books on environmental issues. JEANNETTE DE VIGAN International Communications Coach Jeannette de Vigan has over 20 years experience helping European and American companies work and communicate more effectively across cultures. She is specialised in coaching executives and management teams in their intercultural communications and presentation skills.
