2 WRBM REC AND PARK DISTRICT J A N U A RY A N D F E B R U A RY B R O C H U R E Mission Statement: The Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District exists to provide healthful and creative recreational programs, activities, and facilities to meet the needs of the District s citizens, regardless of race, age, or physical condition. Winter Building Hours Mon-Thurs: 5:30am-9:00pm (Pool opens at 6:00am) Friday: 5:30am-7:00pm (Pool opens at 6:00am) Sat-Sun: 9:00am-5:00pm (Pool opens at 12:00pm) Winter Pool Hours Child Care Mon-Thurs: 6:00am-8:45pm Friday: 6:00am-6:45pm Pool is closed 11:00am-1:00pm Monday-Friday Sat-Sun: 12:00am-4:45pm Mon-Fri: 8:00am-10:30am Mon-Thurs: 4:30pm-7:00pm Cost is $2 an hour/ per child without pass 20 punch pass for $20 and get $1 per hour/per child Holiday Closures Christmas Week (Dec 23 rd normal hours, Dec 24 th &25 th closed) New Year s Week (Jan 1 st closed) Page 1

A resident is one who resides within the Western Rio Blanco Metro. Rec and Park District boundaries. Non-residents may purchase passes at the same rates as residents. Family is designed as one or two parents plus all unmarried children under the age of 18 claimed as dependent on Federal Income Tax Forms and living at the same residence. Page 2

Tiny Tot Swim January 4 th, 10:00-11:00am All ages welcome Free Tot Time January 4 th, 6:00-6:30pm (Wednesdays only) 2-4 years old $5 per person per month Come join us as we do some tot activities. 5 Min/Max: CoEd Youth Basketball Starts January 5 th, 6:30-7:30pm (Every Tuesday and Thursday) Parkview Elementary 1 st -6 th grade $20 per person Must be signed up by Jan 5 th Min 12/Max N/A Join us as we work on improving your basketball skills through practices and games. Please bring in clean shoes. Home inserts for Feb., Mar, Apr., and May. These are from our previous home crafts but the H,M,E can still be purchased if you would like to do this craft. Ladies Craft Night January 5 th, 6:30pm-9:00pm $30 for 4 months $45 for HME and 4 months December 30 th Bob Ross January 7 th, Starts at 9:30am Must be 14 years of age $50 per class ($5 fee for canvas) Leave with a completed oil painting and no experience necessary. January 11 th Min/Max: Min 12/Max 40 Nuggets Skills Challenge January 13 th, 9:00am Elementary School 6-13 years old as of 4/30/17 Free Skills testing in dribbling, passing, and shooting. Separate boys and girl s divisions. Top boy and girl in each age group advance to sectionals. Please have a parent present to fill out paper work. Page 6
