New features greatly enhance convenience The Dterm Series i can be programmed for a variety of ringing tones*, making it easy to determine whose phone is ringing in a crowded work area. *Features may vary based upon system supported. A touch of the Mic key lets the user mute the terminal s microphone, shutting off transmission from a noisy office or allowing them to hold a separate private conversation. Pressing the Message key once enables voice mail to be checked, and the user can scroll through a list of numbers stored in the terminal simply by pressing the Directory key. The detachable key pad allows you to easily customize keys for a foreign language or an Automatic Call Distribution application. The numbers and letters are even laser printed to last longer. Models incorporating an LCD panel offer highly useful information display capability three lines, at up to 24 characters per line. Volume Control adjustment can now be monitored via the LCD, making adjustment easier. More flexible and user-friendly Approved for home use, Dterm Series i terminals give your employees valuable mobility by facilitating telecommuting. They can literally bring Dterm Series i features and capabilities home with them. The new terminals also afford easier adapter or optionalunit connection, tilt angle adjustment, wall mounting, and use of the Directory Card unit. 6 ACCESSORIES Add-on Module The module is equipped with 60 programmable line keys, each with a dual-color LED. These keys can be used as Direct Station keys, Feature keys or Line keys. Analog Port Adapter (APA) This adapter provides an interface for installing single line telephones and modems.* It enables calls to be initiated via a PC modem and switched to voice operation if desired, and supports a maximum call speed of 28.8kbps. Its ring detection capability enhances the value of connecting a personal fax machine or answering machine to the Dterm Series i terminal. Ancillary Device Adapter (ADA) The ADA makes possible direct connection between the Dterm Series i terminal and a recording device in order to record/log telephone calls. The adapter also features dedicated input connectors for a recording tone unit which informs the parties involved that the call is being recorded. An AC adapter is not required for the ADA. Computer Telephony Adapter (CTA) Connection between the Dterm Series i terminal and a desktop PC is possible using the CTA. This allows users to operate Windows -based computer telephony applications such as ClientPhone 32. IP Adapter (IPW) The IPW provides two 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports for connection to a Local Area Network (LAN), as well as a PC switching hub for connecting the adapter and a PC.
