3 Knwn Issues App Orchestratin When using the App Orchestratin web cnsle, the fllwing ntificatins might appear: 500: Internal Server Errr; Service Unavailable Service Unavailable. A netwrk-related r instance-specific errr ccurred while establishing a cnnectin t SQL Server. The server was nt fund r was nt accessible. Verify that the instance name is crrect and that SQL Server is cnfigured t allw remte cnnectins. Lgin failed; Internal Server Errr These ntificatins appear if the SQL Server hsting the App Orchestratin cnfiguratin database is ffline. T reslve this issue, perfrm the fllwing actins: Verify the server running SQL Server is perating and cnnected t yur netwrk. Verify that yur firewall allws remte cnnectins t SQL Server. Verify the crrect SQL Server database r instance is cnfigured in App Orchestratin s glbal settings. [#389643] When creating a Sessin Machine catalg fr n-demand prvisining, and the CreateSessinMachineCatalg wrkflw fails (because f a cnfiguratin errr, fr example), retrying the wrkflw cntinues t fail even when all required settings have been cnfigured crrectly. This issue ccurs because App Orchestratin attempts t create a snapsht f the template VM each time the wrkflw is executed. If the snapsht exists already, the wrkflw fails with an errr message indicating the snapsht is nt unique. T reslve this issue, delete the snapsht f the template VM befre retrying the failed wrkflw. [#413997] When creating a Sessin Machine Catalg using n-demand prvisining, the Get-VMTemplateScan wrkflw fails with the errr VM in use. This issue ccurs when a snapsht f disks and memry is created frm the VM template selected fr use with the catalg. T reslve this issue, delete the disk and memry snapsht and create a snapsht nly f the machine s disk. Snapshts f bth disks and memry are nt supprted fr use with App Orchestratin. [#469734] When a NetScaler cnnectin filter is added t a Sessin Machine Catalg, the capacity f fferings hsted in the catalg cannt be mdified. This issue ccurs when the cnnectin filter is added after tenants have subscribed t fferings in the catalg. Adding a cnnectin filter effects a change in the Sessin Machine Catalg that renders subscriptins t its fferings invalid. As a result, users cannt access their subscriptins thrugh Citrix Receiver. T reslve this issue unsubscribe users frm the affected fferings and delete the assciated Delivery Grup. Then, resubscribe the users t their riginal set f fferings. The subscriptin prcess creates a new Delivery Grup that is assciated with the mdified Sessin Machine Catalg. [#471339] Adding a decmmissined Sessin Machine t a Sessin Machine Catalg and Delivery Site is nt supprted in this release. When allcated t a Delivery Site, the decmmissined Sessin Machine fails t register with the Site. As a result, users cannt access any subscriptins t Page 3

4 Knwn Issues fferings that are hsted n the Sessin Machine. T avid this issue, deply new Sessin Machines t replace machines that have been decmmissined. [#475517] Accessing a subscriptin t an ffering might fail if the ffering is cnfigured with user-specific data in the applicatin s wrking directry. When an ffering is created, an initial scan f the applicatin is perfrmed and App Orchestratin uses the wrking directry prduced frm this scan. App Orchestratin des nt verify the data prvided by the scan r autmatically crrect invalid infrmatin during ffering creatin. T reslve this issue, use envirnment variables fr any user-specific data and use them in place f the actual user-specific data in the applicatin s wrking directry path. [#475534] Adding the same private dmain as differing types (fr example, adding the dmain with the User type and then adding it again with the Bth type) is nt supprted in this release. When adding private dmains, add the dmain nly nce t yur deplyment. [#475558] When creating an ffering that uses the Private Delivery Grup islatin level and includes a Delivery Site and StreFrnt server grup in the shared resurce dmain, but als includes Sessin Machines in a tenant s private resurce dmain, attempts t access the ffering thrugh Citrix Receiver might fail. As a wrkarund, when creating a private ffering that spans multiple dmains, cnfigure the ffering t use the Private Delivery Site islatin level instead. [#475564] When imprting a large number f Sessin Machines t a Sessin Machine Catalg, the Get-ApplicatinInf wrkflw might fail. When this failure ccurs, the fllwing errrs are lgged in the C:\Windws\Temp flder n the App Orchestratin cnfiguratin server: Errr: Backgrund task handling errr: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlExceptin (0x ): Timeut expired. The timeut perid elapsed prir t cmpletin f the peratin r the server is nt respnding. ---> System.CmpnentMdel.Win32Exceptin (0x ): The wait peratin timed ut... Errr: Errr Details: The INSERT statement cnflicted with the FOREIGN KEY cnstraint "FK_DiscveredApplicatins_IcnId". The cnflict ccurred in database "AppOrchestratin", table "cam.icns", clumn 'Id'. The statement has been terminated. Errr: Errr Details: The transactin assciated with the current cnnectin has cmpleted but has nt been dispsed. The transactin must be dispsed befre the cnnectin can be used t execute SQL statements. Additinally, App Orchestratin may generate additinal Get-ApplicatinInf wrkflws, each f which eventually fail. This failure can be the result f a lck n the Cam.Icns table in the App Orchestratin cnfiguratin database. As a wrkarund, imprt a smaller number f Sessin Machines at a time t the catalg. T d this, perfrm the fllwing actins: 1. Frm the App Orchestratin web cnsle, delete the Sessin Machine Catalg t which yu are imprting the machines. Wait fr the wrkflw t cmplete successfully. 2. Recreate the Sessin Machine Catalg and imprt up t 100 machines. Wait fr the wrkflws t cmplete successfully. Page 4

5 Knwn Issues 3. Cntinue imprting Sessin Machines in batches f 100 until all machines are imprted t the catalg. [#479423] When creating a Sessin Machine Catalg with n-demand prvisining, and the wrkflw is interrupted, any preparatin VM and snapsht that are created remain n the cmpute resurce; they are nt deleted autmatically. This issue can ccur if the wrkflw is cancelled r has failed. T wrk arund this issue, manually remve the preparatin VM and snapsht using the hypervisr cnsle and then retry the wrkflw. [#480661] Lgging n t the App Orchestratin web cnsle using credentials specified with nn-english characters might fail if the Remember me ptin is selected. This issue ccurs when lgging n t the web cnsle using the Safari web brwser. Credentials specified with English characters can lg n successfully when this ptin is selected. T reslve this issue, d nt select the Remember me ptin when lgging n t the cnsle with the Safari brwser using credentials with nn-english characters. [#484144] When creating App Orchestratin administratrs with the Read-Only rle and the All tenant scpe thrugh the web management cnsle, and a user grup frm a different frest r dmain is specified, n tenant infrmatin displays in the web cnsle. This issue ccurs even when crssfrest r crss-dmain trusts exist between the shared dmain and the secnd dmain. When creating a Read-Only administratr with the All tenant scpe, be sure t specify ne f the fllwing types f user: A user r user grup that resides in the shared user dmain. A user that resides in a different frest r dmain, prvided crss-frest r crss-dmain trust exists with the shared dmain. [#485970] When imprting a nn-existing machine in App Orchestratin rt OU f Active Directry t a StreFrnt server grup r Delivery Site. The creating wrkflw will fail and delete abve machine will als fail because the remve related wrkflw is dispatched t the nn-existing machine. As a wrkarund, call API t delete this nn-existing machine, which will als clears up all related wrkflws. Fr example, t frce delete a nn-existing StreFrnt server, call DELETE StreFrntServers({id}) and set frce parameter t true. [# ] After upgrading sessin machine catalg by selecting snapsht frm a different template in Windws 2012R2 r Windws 8.1, may cause failure when launching ffering. It s recmmended t select the snapsht frm the same template during sessin machine catalg upgrading. [# ] When mre than ne Cnfiguratin Server exists in App Orchestratin envirnment, upgrading ne f them frm 2.5 t 2.6 will autmatically upgrade thers. It s unnecessary and will cause exceptin if upgrading mre than ne Cnfiguratin Servers at the same time. [# ] Page 5

6 Knwn Issues When cnfiguring a dmain behind NAT and has the same FQDN Dmain name with a system scpe Dmain, may cause Bad Request exceptin because it s nt supprted t create an islated Dmain has the same FQDN Dmain name with system scpe Dmain. [# ] When all machines in primary Datacenter shut dwn, may cause Timeut exceptin when try t lg n t strefrnt website because requests frm a Receiver fr Web site t the assciated stre time ut after ne minute by default. As a wrkarund, mdify the timeut value by using a text editr t pen the web.cnfig file fr the Receiver fr Web site, which is typically lcated in the C:\inetpub\wwwrt\Citrix\strenameWeb\ directry, where strename is the name specified fr the stre when it was created. Use the timeut attribute t set the time limit in hurs, minutes, and secnds fr a respnse frm the stre. [# ] After upgrading the App Orchestratin cnfiguratin server frm Versin 2.5 t Versin 2.6 withut upgrading all Delivery Site, StreFrnt server r VDA cmpnents, may cause unallcated resurces can t be detected r XenDesktp Delivery Site displays as XenApp fr newly created stre in StreFrnt server issues. S it s recmmended t upgrade all ther App Orchestratin cmpnents after upgrading t App Orchestratin 2.6. [# , # ] When yu install App Orchestratin cmpnents frm file flder whse name is lcalized characters, may cause failure in installing. It s recmmended t use all ASCII characters as the file flder name. [# ] When mdifying NetScaler Gateway addresses prt number in edit Datacenters page, may cause wrkflw return gateway already exists errr because Update-StreFrntSite wrkflw executes befre Remve-StreFrntNetScalerGateway wrkflw. Yu can click n retry buttn t mdify prt number successfully. [# ] Clud Prvisining Adding a private clud cmpute resurce t an App Orchestratin deplyment fails with an errr indicating a datacenter must be specified. This issue ccurs if the datacenter used fr public clud cmpute resurces is specified as the default datacenter fr the deplyment. T reslve this issue, specify a datacenter that des nt include clud cmpute resurces as the default datacenter fr the deplyment. Then, retry adding the private clud cmpute resurce t the deplyment. [#484497] StreFrnt After subscribing a tenant s users t the apps hsted in a Delivery Site, n apps display when users access the StreFrnt site thrugh Citrix Receiver. This issue ccurs with newly-created Delivery Sites as well as Delivery Sites that have been aggregated thrugh StreFrnt. This issue ccurs if the subscriptins are created fr users in dmain lcal grups in the tenant s user dmain. Because the dmain lcal grup is lcal t the dmain in which it is created, the users in the grup are nt recgnized by StreFrnt when they attempt t access their subscribed apps. Page 6

7 Knwn Issues T ensure a tenant s users can access their subscriptins thrugh StreFrnt, perfrm ne f the fllwing tasks: If the StreFrnt server grup and the tenant s users are in different dmains, ensure the tenant s users are cntained in dmain universal grups, and specify these grups when creating subscriptins. Create a dmain lcal grup in the dmain in which the StreFrnt server grup resides, add the tenant s users t the grup, and then specify this grup when creating subscriptins. [#451145] Page 7
