1 The instruction for installation of auto sound deadener noico for cars The installation of noico is not as hard as you think and you can do it on your own. However, in order to do everything right, please follow the instructions: PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY UP TO THE END! This is really important as the efficiency of soundproofing depends not only on the material you use but also how you install it. Please note that in case of a wrong installation of a sound deadening material the results can be not as desired or not seen at all. 2 NOW LET S START! In order to install soundproofing material you will need: 1) Auto sound deadener NOICO Liner 2) A carton box knife or construction scissors 3) A Gloves 4) Degreaser 5) A cloth for wiping 6) Sharpie pen for marking * you can find the color and the thickness of the foil in your order s listing description. The noico material has the following dimensions: Noico 50 mil (the red logo foil), Noico 80 mil (a silver foil no logo), Noico Black 50 mil (a black foil), Noico Black 80 mil (a black foil), Noico Liner (the grey self-adhesive closed-cell polyethylene foam). 2

3 I. PREPARATION STEP 1 First decide what part of the car you want to do first: a roof, a floor, doors or a hood. Every single part of the car has its own function. That s why for the maximum soundproofing we recommend you to soundproof all parts of the car. STEP 2 Find on the internet the manual to your car and read carefully how to dismantle a certain panels. Be careful when you dismantle plastic details of the car not to break the fixings! STEP 3 Remove the remains of the regular sound insulation once you have dismantled the car ( you need to do it if the regular sound insulation is damaged or not properly fixed). You can leave it there if it s still in a good shape. 3

4 STEP 4 Before installation clean and degrease properly the surface for sound insulation. It has to be dry and clean! If you apply the material on a wet or not clean surface, it won t be properly fixed and may not last long. Use White Spirit and a dry clean rag for the step 4. We also recommend to wear gloves and air the room from time to time while doing it. Note: Before you use degreaser on painted or plastic surfaces, pre-try it on a small area of the treated surface. 4

5 II. SOUNDPROOFING STEP 1 Measure already cleaned surface where you are going to apply the material. We recommend you first make a pattern of an appropriate size on paper and then transfer it to the insulation sheet. This will help you to place everything accurately and don t waste the material. 5

6 STEP 2 Use a stationery knife or construction scissors to cut the needed piece of insulation sheet. Be careful and use gloves for your hand protection. STEP 3 Try the piece on the car surface where you are going to apply it without removing an adhesive paper. Make sure that the material covers it. STEP 4 Now it s time to remove the adhesive paper. But please do not remove it at once. For a better gluing you need to do it gradually. 6

7 II. SOUNDPROOFING STEP 5 Now when your sheet is ready to be used stick it to the surface and let it glue. To avoid air bubbles flatten the sheet with hands. STEP 6 Assemble the parts of the car back together. Congratulations! You have installed insulation in your car! 7

8 Useful tips: To make installation more comfortable in case of a cold weather we recommend you to use a heat gun (Installation require temperature above 53F) You can also use insulation aluminum tape for the edges of the material. Please note: Material for inside use only The allowed temperature is from -49F to 212F Don t use the material in high temperature parts of the car such as exhaust pipe The material cannot be reused in case of dismantling The material can be used only on clean dry metal surfaces Please observe safety precautions 8
