10 Changes and challenges High space consumption Noise and air pollution Growing population growing number of passengers Constantly increasing and at the same time changing demand for mobility: Costumers looking for a seamless door to door mobility, depending on specific needs offerings should be simple, fast and flexible Sharing is booming in terms of ecological as well as financial aspects

11 Sharing economy on the rise Current trend Sharing of goods rather than ownership Increased use of bike and car sharing Why is car sharing popular? More people now live in cities than in the countryside less dependent on constant access to a car Car became less of a status symbol; owning a car is not sustainable and therefore not in vogue Car in the city is a hassle: little parking space, busy roads All the benefits of a car without costs of maintenance 11
