1 Platt Primary School First World War Centenary Album Photographs by Scott Wishart

2 Throughout June and July 2014, pupils at Platt Primary School in St. Mary's Platt, Kent embarked on a project to discover more about the First World War, and how it touched the lives of virtually everyone living in the United Kingdom at that time. To help the children make the connection between themselves and their antecedents, they were asked to find any family photographs from the period so that they could be photographed holding them by school parent and photographer Scott Wishart. This monograph is a record of the project marks the centenary of the start of the 'Great War' and Scott has been active in the commemorations through personal, professional and community projects. Prior to photographing the children at Platt he had been commissioned by Universal Music and the Royal British Legion to produce portraits of descendants of Victoria Cross recipients for an accompanying booklet to the official First World War Centenary album. All images Scott Wishart, 2014
