11 Hybrid Denture Sequence The following outline is provided to give you a better understanding of the fabrication of a hybrid denture from start to finish. This will allow everything to flow smoothly and ease any confusion or frustration your patient may go through. First appointment 1. Remove healing caps from implants 2. Take opposing impression 3. Seat impression copings and take polyvinyl impression with custom tray 4. Take impressions of existing dentures for reference **Tissue abutments may need to be seated before the next step depending on implant system.** Second appointment (7 Working Days Later) 1. Take wax bite registration using implant retained bite block 2. Indicate midline, smile line, occlusal plane 3. Record tooth shade, shape, special setup instructions 4. Seat angled abutments on all implants (if required) Third Appointment (6 Working Days Later) 1. Seat any abutments that have been determined necessary to correct for angulations of implants (typically only uppers require abutments) 2. Index all individual pieces together the implant verification using jet glue cyanoacrylate material 3. Tryin of diagnostic setups with teeth set in wax 4. Make any changes to setup, take new bite if necessary 5. Take new pickup impression of luted verification index with custom trays 6. Reline temporary dentures to fit over the patients transitional dentures (Possible denture reset appointment if needed, verify setup) 5 days later Fourth appointment (21 Working Days Later) 1. Tryin of titanium bars. 2. If the bars do not seat passively, cut the bar with the enclosed micro-thin disk. 3. Index the bar together in the mouth using the supplied Relate indexing material. Screw second set of analogs into hader bar and seat into crown box filled with plaster to hold indexed bar during shipping. (Possible bar tryin after laser welding) 4 Working Days Later, If Necessary 1. Tryin bar after bar has been welded to insure passive fit. (If necessary) 2. If bar does not fit after soldering, repeat index procedure Sixth appointment (6 Days Later, Either after Fourth or Fifth Appt.) 1. Tryin of waxup on titanium bars. (make any adjustments to setup if needed) Seventh appointment (6 days later) 1. Delivery of finished hybrid denture
12 Locator Denture Sequence The following outline is provided to give you a better understanding of the fabrication of a Locator denture from start to finish. This will allow everything to flow smoothly and ease any confusion or frustration your patient may go through. First appointment 1. Take alginate impressions of the healing caps 2. Send models with surgery report that indicates length of healing caps 3. Take impressions of existing dentures for reference 4. Lab will order Locator Abutments and return to you to seat Second appointment (5 Working Days In Lab) 1. Torque in Locator abutments on implants 2. Take wax bite registration with acrylic based bite block(s) 3. Indicate midline, smile line, occlusal plane 4. Record tooth shade, shape, special setup instructions 5. Place Locator impression copings on Locator abutments 6. Fill inside of acrylic based bite block with polyvinyl impression or polyether and take wash/pickup impression of Locator impression copings 7. Reline transitional dentures with soft liner to adapt to fit over Locator abutments Third Appointment (15 Working Days In Lab) 1. Tryin of diagnostic setups with teeth set in wax (setups with have chrome framework integrated into them) 2. Make any changes to setup, take new bite if necessary (Possible denture reset appointment if needed, verify setup) 4 days later Fourth appointment (7 Working Days Later) 1. Deliver Case
13 Hader Bar/ Milled Bar Denture Sequence The following outline is provided to give you a better understanding of the fabrication of a hader bar or milled bar denture from start to finish. This will allow everything to flow smoothly and ease any confusion or frustration your patient may go through. First appointment 1. Remove healing caps from implants 2. Seat impression copings and take polyvinyl impression with custom tray 3. Take opposing impression 4. Take impressions of existing dentures for reference Second appointment (7 Working Days Later) 1. Take wax bite registration using implant retained bite block 2. Indicate midline, smile line, occlusal plane 3. Record tooth shade, shape, special setup instructions 4. Index together the implant verification index using duralay or relate indexing material 5. Take new pickup impression of luted verification index with custom tray Third Appointment (6 Working Days Later) 1. Tryin of denture setup with teeth set in wax 2. Make any changes to setup, new bite if necessary (Possible denture reset appointment if needed, verify setup) 5 days later Fourth appointment (21 Working Days Later) 1. Tryin of titanium bar. 2. If the bar does not seat passively, cut the bar with the enclosed micro-thin disk. 3. Index the bar together in the mouth using the supplied Relate indexing material. Screw second set of analogs into hader bar and seat into crown box filled with plaster to hold indexed bar during shipping. 14 Bar Overdenture Reline Procedue The following outline is provided to give you a better understanding of the relining procedure. This will provide you with instructions on how to get the impressions we will need to reline your overdenture. Bar Overdenture Reline Procedure: 1. Remove all attachments from the inside of the overdenture 2. Block out all undercuts from beneath the bar using utility wax 3. Fill the overdenture base with medium body polyvinyl or polyether impression material. 4. Seat denture in mouth and allow patient to bite down on overdenture to seat. 5. Remove denture from mouth taking care that impression material stays in denture. 6. Remove the bar from the patient s mouth. 7. Place appropriate healing caps on the implants to prevent any food impaction and tissue collapse. 8. Send bar and denture to laboratory for processing.
15 Ceramic Crowns over Titanium Substructure The following outline is provided to give you a better understanding of the fabrication of a hybrid denture from start to finish. This will allow everything to flow smoothly and ease any confusion or frustration your patient may go through. First appointment 1. Remove healing caps from implants 2. Take opposing impression 3. Seat impression copings and take polyvinyl impression with custom tray 4. Take impressions of existing dentures for reference Second appointment (7 Working Days Later) 1. Remove healing caps from the implants. 2. Seat the sectioned pieces of the implant verification index on the implants 3. Lute the pieces together using the supplied Relate resin powder/liquid 4. Take a full arch pickup impression of the luted index taking care to capture the soft tissue in the mouth Third Appointment (7 Working Days Later) 1. Remove the healing caps from the implants 2. Seat the bite registration platform (with wax) over the implants 3. Record the centric bite, midline, smile line etc Fourth Appointment (7 Working Days Later) 1. Remove the healing caps from the implants 2. Seat the diagnostic setup in the mouth and verify the centric and esthetics. (reset and additional tryin if necessary 5 days later) Fifth appointment (21 Working Days Later) 1. Tryin of titanium bar 2. If the bars do not seat passively, cut the bar with the enclosed micro-thin disk. 3. Index the bar together in the mouth using the supplied Relate resin powder/liquid. Screw second set of analogs into hader bar and seat into crown box filled with plaster to hold indexed bar during shipping. (Possible bar tryin after laser welding) 4 Working Days Later, If Necessary 1. Tryin bar after bar has been welded to insure passive fit. (If necessary) 2. If bar does not fit after soldering, repeat index procedure Sixth appointment (10 Days Later, Either after Fourth or Fifth Appt.) 1. Tryin of Titanium Bars with Ceramic Crowns in place. (Bisque Bake) 2. Verify composite tissue contour and esthetics. 3. Make any adjustments to occlusion as needed Seventh appointment (6 days later) 1. Delivery of finished hybrid denture with polished ceramic crowns
16 Provisional Bridge Sequence The following outline is provided to give you a better understanding of the fabrication of a provisional bridge from start to finish. This will allow everything to flow smoothly and ease any confusion or frustration your patient may go through. First appointment 1. Remove healing caps from implants 2. Take opposing impression 3.
