2 STEP 1: Crank Assembly Start by removing components from package carefully. Do not cut into the box with a knife to insure that none of the building materials are damaged. Take a look at the list of materials below to make sure that you have everything to start Number Item Quantity Pictures 1 Black Base Plate 3 2 Yellow Gear 2 3 Blue Gear 2 4 Pink Gear 2 5 Green Gear 2 6 Wood Dowel metal plate 2 8 #10-32 x ¾ Screw 2 9 #8-32 x 3/4 Screw 6 10 #8-32 hex nut Nylon Washer Zip Tie 2

3 Using the two #10-32 x ¾ screw. Screw the two Black Base Plates together in the top and bottom left holes. 1 6 Insert the two #8-32 x ¾ screws into the two holes in the yellow gear as shown. 7 2 Make sure arrow the screws are in the correct holes or the crank arm will not fit.

4 Add two of the #8-32 hex nuts to each screw. 10 Screw all 4 nuts all the way down so they are nice and tight. Insert the #8-32 x 1-1/4 screw into the metal plate below, and secure it with a #8-32 hex nut. Make sure the screw is in the correct hole. 7 Add the 3 metal plate with the screw and put it on as shown. The screw should line up with hole #1 and hole #4 on the metal plate. 7 Hole #1 Hole #4

5 Now add two #8-32 hex nuts to the two screws shown to fasten the metal plate into place. 10 Repeat the previous steps and make a second crank so that you end up with two identical parts like shown below. Next, insert one wooden dowel into the middle of one of the yellow cranks. 6 Make sure the wooden dowel goes all the way through to the other side of the gear as shown.

6 Insert one nylon washer onto the dowel. 11 Now insert the wooden dowel part of the crank into the hole shown in the two black plates that were put together earlier. 12 holes to the right 5 holes down Make sure it is in this hole It should look like this if you have the dowel in the correct hole. Now add one nylon washer and the second crank wheel to the other side of the dowel. 11

7 Next insert one wooden dowel into a green gear as shown. 5 6 Add a nylon washer to the wooden dowel. 11 Insert the wooden dowel into the black base plates as shown below. It is important that the green gear mates with the yellow gear. 18 holes to the right 3 holes to the left 4 holes down It should look like this if you have the dowel in the correct hole, and both the yellow and green gear will turn at the same time.

8 Now add a nylon washer to the wood dowel with the green gear Now add a blue gear to the end of the long wooden dowel. Make sure about 1 inch sticks out of one side 3 6 Insert nylon washer onto long end of dowel. 11

9 Insert long end of wooden dowel with blue gear into black plate. Make sure that the blue gear and yellow gear mesh together so that the crank will work appropriately. 3 holes to the right 5 holes down Add a nylon washer to wooden dowel. 11

10 Attach another blue gear onto dowel and push it all the way down until it sits against the washer. 3 Insert two pink gears onto each end of the wooden dowel with the blue gears. If everything is assembled correctly all the gears will turn if you turn the pink gear by hand. 4

11 Next add the last black base plate to the bottom and zip tie into place. Zip tie

12 STEP 2: Assemble the Linear Carriage First gather materials. Number Item Quantity Pictures 1 Nylon Bushing 4 2 Square metal plate 2 3 ½ Nylon clamp 8 4 #8-32 x 3/8 Screw 10 5 #8-32 hex nut degree plate 2 7 Syringe 2

13 Attach four of the ½ Nylon clamps to one square metal plate with four #8-32 x 3/8 screw and four #8-32 hex nuts Remove the syringe plunger from the syringe body. Be careful not to break the plunger. 7 Syringe Plunger Syringe Body

14 Insert syringe plunger into 90 degree bracket. Make sure to put the plunger in the bigger, slotted hole. 6 Next, thread one #8-32 hex nut all the way onto a #8-32 x 3/8 screw. 4 5 Now attach the syringe to the metal square plate like in the picture below, and thread on another #8-32 hex nut to hold it in place. 5

15 Repeat the past 5 steps and create a second linear carriage. 1 2

16 STEP 3: Assemble the Linear Slide First gather materials. Number Item Quantity Pictures 1 Black Base Plate 3 2 ¼ x 5 hex bolt 4 3 ¼ Nylon Clamp 8 4 Black Perpendicular block 8 5 #8-32 x 3/4 Screw 8 6 #8-32 hex nut 16

17 First attach the assemble one ¼ x 5 hex bolt, one ¼ nylon clamp, one black perpendicular block, and one #8-32 x ¾ screw Repeat this process so that you have 4 total. Be sure that 2 of the assemblies are mirror images so that they will fit on you assembly. See image below. You should have 4 total, but 2 of them should be opposite as shown

18 Attach bolt and bushing assembly to one of the black base plates. To secure the bolt pace one #8-32 hex nut on the back until it is tight. 3 holes Back Front 6 Down 2 holes Up 2 holes 3 holes

19 Next slide on one of your linear carriage assemblies as shown. Make sure the syringe plunger is pointing in the same direction as the picture. Add another black perpendicular block, #8-32 x ¾ screw, ¼ nylon clamp and #8-32 nut to secure the other side of each bolt. Front 3 holes Back 6 Down 2 holes 3 holes Now repeat last 3 steps and create a mirror image of this assembly as shown below.

21 STEP 4: Syringe to Linear Slide First gather materials Number Item Quantity Pictures 1 Syringe 2 2 Black Perpendicular Block 4 3 ¼ Nylon Clamp 2 4 #8-32 x 1-1/4 screw 2 5 #8-32 hex nut 2 6 #10-32 x ¾ screw 2 Next assemble the syringe clamp. Use two black perpendicular blocks, one xxx nylon clamp, one syringe, and one #8-32 x 1-1/4 screw

22 Repeat previous stem, but make a mirror image of this assembly as shown below. 1 2 Next attach syringe assembly 1 to linear slide 1 like shown by inserting the screw into the appropriate hole and securing with a #8-32 hex nut. 6 holes down 2 holes over Repeat the previous process with to create two mirrored assemblies. 1 2

23 Now attach the two assemblies together using two #10-32 x ¾ screws. 6 Last, zip tie the black base plate to the bottom of the assembly. Zip tie

24 STEP 5: Tubing Assembly First gather materials. Number Item Quantity Pictures 1 Short Tube 10 2 Long Tube 2 3 Check Valve 4 4 Tee 4 Insert one short tube on each end of two tees. 1 Make sure that all of the tubes are pushed on all the way past the barb on the tee. 4

25 Now add one check two check valves to each tube assembly. Make sure that they are pointed in the same direction like the picture below. Make sure the check valves are pointing in the same direction 4 Add a piece of short tube to the end of each check valve. (Note: these tubes may look shorter in the picture then in actuality) 4 Repeat the past three steps to make a second tube assembly. 1 2

26 Now connect the two tube assemblies with two tees. Make sure that the check valves line up like in the picture below. Check valves point toward each other 4 Add a long piece of tubing to each tee. Check valves point away from each other 2

28 Attach Crank Assembly to Linear Slide Syringe Assembly with four black perpendicular plates and four #10-32 screws Insert one #8-32-3/8 screw into the metal square plate. (Do this on both sides) 8

29 Insert one O-ring on the long crank screw and one O-ring on the small screw attached to the metal plate. (Do this on both sides) 7 Attach 5 metal plate to each screw and place an O-ring over the top so that it secures the 5 metal plate. (Do this on both sides) 6 7

30 Note: make sure that the 5 metal plate lings up straight so that your pump work efficiently. Attach two short tubes to the syringes on the crank-slide assembly. Insert tube onto syringe ends
