1 REPRISE TWO-HANDLE BATH & SHOWER SET with THERMOSTATIC VALVE Installation Instructions. Thank you for selecting Porcher Products. To ensure that your installation proceeds smoothly--please read these instructions carefully before you begin Required Tools ROUGHING-IN DIMENSIONS hot in cold in mixed out Phillips Screwdriver Flat Blade Screwdriver -/" -/" mixed out ROUGHING-IN THE VALVE WARNING /" -/" " -/" -/" to -/" VOLUME CONTROL -/" CONTROL NOTE: ALL PORTS ARE / NPT FEMALE. FITTING MUST BE INSTALLED WITH VOLUME CONTROL ON TOP. ONE PORT MUST BE PLUGGED. Turn off hot and cold water supplies CAUTION before beginning. Decide on desired configuration. Prepare water supplies per ROUGHING-IN DIMENSIONS. Install VALVE at indicated height and depth. Connect water supply to top inlet marked with the RED DOT and water supply to middle inlet market with the BLUE DOT. Important! Install any required shut off valves into the piping system. DO NOT SOLDER DIRECTLY TO THE VALVE BODY; THIS WILL DAMAGE THE CONTROL ELEMENT. Secure VALVE () body to cross brace of wall structure. Assemble the MIXED CONNECTING PIPE to one of the MIXED S of the VALVE. Cap the other MIXED with a commercially available plug. 2 ROUGHING-IN THE DIVERTER VALVE AND CONCEALED PIPING Install the DIVERTER () as shown in the illustration with inlet at bottom. All supply connections are /" NPT. ROUGHING-IN DIMENSIONS TWO-WAY DIVERTER Fig. A -9/ For proper positioning the finished wall must be within side wall of the () (-/" to -9/"). See Fig. A Note; Wall opening should not exceed -/" dia. or wall escutcheon may not fully cover opening. Connect water supply from MIXING VALVE () to the inlet of DIVERTER (). CAUTION: Do not solder near the DIVERTER (). Damage to the SEAL may occur. Do not seal any of the DIVERTER () outlets. The DIVERTER () cannot be used as a stop valve. For support use PIPE S () secured to wooden braces. Cap () TUB FILLER PIPE () and PLUG () SHOWER ELBOW (). -/ -/ (Dia. (Dia. Escutcheon) Wall Opening) -/ For support, use pipe S () secured to wooden braces. With valve turned off, turn on water supplies. Check for leaks. Turn VALVE () on and check concealed piping for leaks. 3 MAX FLUSHING THE VALVE IMPORTANT: The water supplies should still be off. Water should be flushed through the piping to prevent clogging of the THERMAL ELEMENT. Remove (). Turn VOLUME CONTROL HANDLE () clockwise until it reaches the stop. Pry out the INDEX BUTTON () from the VOLUME CONTROL HANDLE (). Remove HANDLE SCREW () and pull off HANDLE (). Remove METAL SHROUD (), and RUBBER WASHER (). Remove CLUTCH COVER SCREWS () and CLUTCH COVER (). Pull out CLUTCH DRIVE SHAFT (9). Loosen the SCREWS () in the center of the GEARS (0). Remove the GEARS (0) and BACK PLATE (). Remove the CARTRIDGE () using a mm socket wrench. Turn on MAIN WATER SUPPLY to flush line. Reassemble CARTRIDGE () and repeat flushing steps for side. Replace BACK PLATE (). Assemble both GEARS (0) with the flat side facing BACK PLATE () and tighten SCREWS (). IMPORTANT: Close both CARTRIDGES ( & ) by rotating GEARS (0) counterclockwise. Replace CLUTCH DRIVE SHAFT (9) and CLUTCH COVER () with SCREWS (). Replace RUBBER WASHER (), METAL SHROUD (), VOLUME CONTROL HANDLE (), SCREW () and INDEX BUTTON (). Turn on water supply and check for leaks. 0 9 SCREWS ADJUSTMENT Unscrew SCREWS and remove. Check that arrow marking B points to the o'clock position. If not, push the BLACK CLAMP () on the SECURING RING () to the right, pull off KNOB MOUNT () and reinstall KNOB MOUNT () with arrow "B" to the o'clock position. This is the preset if the vertical installation is selected. See illustration. The maximum mixed water temperature is set at 09 F at the factory. This setting can be changed if desired. Remove the LIMIT STOP () (H shaped Black Plastic part). Reinstall it at the desired notch as indicated in the diagram to limit the maximum mixed water temperature to 0 F or F. For 00 F adjustment, turn the water supply on. Turn KNOB MOUNT () until the spout temperature is 00 F. Check that arrow marking A on the KNOB MOUNT () still points to the o'clock position after adjusting the thermostat to 00 F. If not, pull out the RED LOCKING DEVICE (). Remove KNOB MOUNT () by pulling it towards you while standing directly in front of the valve without turning the handle. Reinstall the KNOB MOUNT () so that the arrow marking A to the o'clock position. Reinstall RED LOCKING DEVICE (). ARROW "A" 09 0 ARROW "B" M9A

4 FINISHING INSTALLATION Replace () and finish wall. When wall is finished, remove () and push on RUBBER WASHER (), VOLUME CAP (), and CAP (). MAX Push on (). Select proper SCREW () and secure (). Push on COVER PLATE () so pins on back fit into holes in (). INSTALL VOLUME CONTROL HANDLE Push VOLUME CONTROL HANDLE () onto drive shaft. DRIVE SHAFT Secure VOLUME CONTROL HANDLE () with HANDLE SCREW (). Press in INDEX BUTTON (). INSTALLING TRADITIONAL HANDLE For correct HANDLE fixation and function, the ADJUSTMENT CARRIER will need to be positioned with the triangular marking on the rear and front carrier positioned in the o'clock position (Fig. ) This is preset for the vertical installation. (Fig. ) The HANDLE () will need to be pushed onto the ADJUSTMENT CARRIER with the lever at the o'clock position. The wide key on the inside of the lever locates with the wide slot on the ADJUSTMENT CARRIER. (Fig. ) Connect the lever with the FIXATION SCREW () supplied and fit the INDEX BUTTON (). Once the lever is moved to the o'clock position the mixed water temperature will be approximately 9 F. For increases in temperature move the HANDLE counter clockwise, for decreases in temperature move the HANDLE clockwise. 5 FINISHING TRIM INSTALLATION Place () onto HANDLE ASSEMBLY (). Thread HANDLE ASSEMBLY () with () onto DIVERTER SHANK () until tight against the finished wall. Remove pipe plug from shower elbow. Slide SHOWER () onto SHOWER ARM (). Install SHOWER ARM () into shower elbow. Push SHOWER () flush against wall and tighten SET SCREW (). Thread SHOWER HEAD () onto SHOWER ARM (). PIPE PLUG Remove pipe cap from tub filler pipe. Slide SPOUT () onto TUB SPOUT (9). Thread TUB SPOUT (9) to tub filler pipe. Push SPOUT () flush against wall and tighten SET SCREW (0). CAUTION: Protect finish on SHOWER HEAD and TUB SPOUT when installing. 0 9 PIPE CAP 9 To keep your new faucet looking new, please follow these simple care instructions: DO: Simply rinse the faucet clean with clear water. Dry the faucet with a soft cotton cloth. DO NOT: Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cloths, or paper towels. Do not use any cleaning agents containing acids, polish abrasives, or harsh cleaners or soaps. Regular and routine cleaning will reduce the need for heavy cleaning and polishing. If heavy cleaning is required, the following procedures are recommended: Remove as much surface dirt and film using clear water and soft cotton cloth (as described above). Use any of the following to remove tough surface film and build-up: Mild liquid detergents Clear liquid glass cleaners Non-acidic, non-abrasive gentle liquid or fully dissolved powder cleansers mixed according to manufacturers directions. Non abrasive liquid polishers Once clean, rinse faucet again with clear water to thoroughly remove cleaner or polish and blot dry with Failure to follow these care instructions may damage the Faucet's finish.
