1 Starting Outlk fr the First Time (n VDT) Once yu Migrate t Office 365 Click nce n the Outlk 2013 icn. Nte: Yu will see the Citrix applicatin start up icn n yur Start Menu bar. If yu were t hver ver that it will say Starting Outlk.

2 Yu may see the blue MS Outlk 2013 start-up screen at this pint: OR Yu may see a windw with a prmpt fr yur passwrd (mst peple will see the passwrd prmpt screen): If yur primary Emry address (Healthcare staff), yu will see the screen belw. Type yur Emry Healthcare passwrd and click OK. (Hint: this is the same passwrd yu use t lgin t the Virtual Desktp.)

3 If yur primary Emry address (mst physicians and University staff), yu will see the screen belw. Type yur Emry University passwrd and click OK. (Hint: It is the passwrd assciated with yur University NetID and it may be different frm the ne yu use when yu lgin t the Emry Healthcare Virtual Desktp.) Nte: If yu type the wrng passwrd, the passwrd prmpt screen will display an Incrrect Passwrd message. Please remember: If the address listed yu need t enter the same passwrd yu used fr lgging int the Virtual Desktp. If the address listed the passwrd yu need t enter is the passwrd assciated with yur university NetID, which may be different frm what yu used t lgin t the Virtual Desktp. Next, yu shuld see the cnfiguring yur accunt windw: This cnfiguring yur accunt windw may remain n the screen fr a few minutes. Please be patient.

4 Next, yu shuld see the message Yur Office 365 set up cmpleted successfully. Click OK. Next, Outlk will pen. Please wait. Fr a few secnds it will lk like nthing is happening but things are happening behind the scenes. Next, Outlk s blue starting windw will appear (dn t wrry abut scrlling text n bttm f windw).

5 Next, Outlk shuld be pen! Sme things t knw The Flder pane (frmerly called the navigatin pane) may nt be expanded the first time yu pen Outlk. Lk fr the > belw the File Menu and click n it if yu dn t see yur list f Mail flders.

6 If yu have flders belw ther flders (fr example, flders belw a flder called Cabinet ), yu may have t expand yur flder list t see them. Nt all f yur persnalized settings mved ver frm Outlk Sme f yur Quick Access Tlbar cmmands did mve ver (like print if yu added that icn). Yu can add cmmands back. Click the arrw t see cmmands yu can add. If yu created ne r mre signature blcks that yu use at the bttm f yur messages, thse signature blcks did migrate t Office 365. Hwever, if yu had Outlk 2010 autmatically add yur signature when yu cmpse a new mail message, yu will have t set that up again in Outlk Setting yur default signature wrks the same way it did in Outlk 2010: Click New . Click the Insert Tab. Click Signature. In the drp dwn, click Signatures Click the drp dwn arrw under New messages. Click n the name yu gave yur signature (in this case My Signature ).

7 Click OK. Outlk 2013 will create a cache (a partial cpy) f yur mailbx. Until the cache cmpletes, yu may nt see all f yur messages and calendar entries r new messages immediately. Larger mailbxes will take lnger fr the cache t cmplete. The status f the cache appears at the bttm f the Outlk windw. Messages lder than ne mnth are n the server but nt the cache. T get t these messages, click n the fllwing link: Click here t view mre n Micrsft Exchange. Hint: Smetimes the click here link is grayed ut. If that happens, click n anther flder then click t cme back t this flder. We re wrking with Micrsft t address this issue.
