1 OWNERS MANUAL and ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS MODEL 0100 Complete Instructions for the Assembly of the LGarden Mobile Elevated Planter. These Instructions do not include Assembly Instructions for options such as Shelves and Greenhouse Cover, which are found in the Shipping Cartons for those products.

2 CONTENTS OF LGARDEN PACKAGE Open the LGarden packaging completely and check the components against the following list of parts. Be sure all quantities are correct before beginning. 1

3 FASTENERS AND SMALL PARTS 2

4 TOOLS REQUIRED The entire LGarden Elevated Garden is assembled using only (2) sizes of fasteners, (Nuts and Bolts). They are 5mm Hex Head machine screws and self-threading screws, and 8mm Hex Head machine screws. Two sizes of wrenches are needed to tighten these Nuts and Bolts: (2) 8mm wrenches or sockets for the 5mm Bolts (2) 13mm wrenches or sockets for 8mm Bolts STEP 1 ATTACH THE CASTERS AND WHEELS Four (4) wheel assemblies are attached to the (2) Leg Assemblies using (A)(H), (16) 8mm Hex Head Bolts and (16) Hex Nuts with integral washers. The (2) Casters With Locks must be fastened to one Leg Assembly, and (2) Fixed Wheels Must be fastened to the second Leg Assembly to allow easy movement and steering to the completed LGarden. USE (4) 8mm X 20mm LONG NUTS AND BOLTS ON EACH WHEEL ASSEMBLY ATTACH FIXED WHEELS TO ONE LEG ASSEMBLY 3

5 ATTACH CASTERS WITH LOCKS TO THE SECOND LEG ASSEMBLY STEP 2 ERECT THE LEGS AND BUCKET MAIN FRAME Place one end of the Main Frame over one Leg Assembly. This is a loose fit with no Fasteners. Be sure the Main Frame is completely down over the Leg Assembly. Next, place the other end of the Main Frame over the second Leg Assembly as shown. COMPLETED SECOND STEP 4

6 STEP 3 INSTALL THE LOWER SHELF Slide the Lower Shelf Assembly onto the (2) Angle Brackets welded to the Leg Assemblies. Install (C)(H), (4) 5mm x 35mm long Hex Bolts and Nuts at the four corners only. Finger tighten only. They will be tightened later. LOWER SHELF INSTALLED WITH (C)(H), (4) CORNER BOLTS ONLY DO NOT TIGHTEN 5

7 STEP 4 INSTALL THE BUCKET SUPPORT BAR Using (D), (2) 5mm x 40mm long Hex Bolts without Nuts, install the Bucket Support Bar onto the (2) metal flanges, one on each Leg Assembly. The (2) Bolts hold the Bucket Support Bar in place while further assembly is performed. The Bolts will be removed later to add an additional component.. BUCKET SUPPORT BAR IN PLACE WITHOUT NUTS 6

8 STEP 5 INSTALL GUSSETS Install (2) Gussets using (E)(H), (2) 5mm x 40mm Long Hex Bolts and Nuts, and (B)(H), (2) 8mm x 40mm Long Hex Bolts and Nuts. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUTS AT THIS TIME. GUSSET BRACKET IN PLACE DO NOT TIGHTEN FASTENERS ASSEMBLY AT THIS STAGE WITH LOOSE NUTS 7

9 STEP 6 INSTALL BUCKET SIDE PANELS Two people are required for this step. Install and fasten the Bucket Side Panels using (G), (10) 5mm x 10mm Long Self-Threading Hex Screws, at the bottom of the Bucket Main Frame, as shown. SELF-THREADING SCREWS(G), (10), UPWARD INTO MAIN FRAME BUCKET SIDE PANELS IN PLACE 8

10 STEP 7 INSTALL BUCKET END PLATES Remove (D), the (2) 5mm x 40mm Hex Bolts installed previously without Nuts. REMOVE (D), (2) 5mm X 40mm CENTER BOLTS WITHOUT NUTS Work the (2) Bucket End Plates into place aligning the bottom Tab over the hole previously filled with (D) a 5mm Bolt, and the two pairs of holes in the Side Panels. END PLATES IN PLACE 9

11 Re-Install (D), the 5mm x 40mm Long Hex Bolt removed earlier. Install (H), a Hex Nut on this Bolt. DO NOT TIGHTEN. (D)(H) 5mm X 40mm HEX BOLT AND NUT IN PLACE. DO NOT TIGHTEN Using (F)(H), (8) 5mm x 10mm Long Hex Bolts and Nuts, fasten the four corners of the Bucket, as shown. EIGHT (F)(H) (8) 5mm X 10mm LONG HEX BOLTS AND NUTS AT CORNERS THIS COMPLETES THE ASSEMBLY OF THE LGARDEN. RETURN NOW TO TIGHTEN ALL NUTS. 10

12 STEP 8 INSTALL BUCKET WOODEN PANELS The Bucket angled Sides are lined with Wooden Panels which support the Plastic Liner. There are (20) Panels, (17) without holes, and (3) with holes for Drainage. Begin by Laying in (10) Wooden Panels on one side. TEN (10) WOODEN PANELS WITHOUT HOLES ON ONE SIDE On the opposite side, Lay in another (10) Panels, (3) with holes. To insure alignment with the Drain Plugs in the Liner, place Wooden Panels with Holes at positions 2, 5 and 9 as shown in the photo. THE OPPOSITE SIDE WITH HOLES AT POSITION 2, 5 AND 9 11

13 STEP 9 INSERT THE PLASTIC LINER Unfold the Plastic Liner and lay into the Bucket, aligning the Drain Plugs at Holes 2, 5 and 9. Push the Plastic Liner into the corners and form the Liner to fit all areas of the Wooden Bucket. As the Bucket is filled with Container Mix, push the Plastic Liner down to remove all air pockets. Air Pockets can stretch the Plastic Liner when filled completely. The Plastic Liner should reach above the upper edges of the Bucket. STEP 10 INSERT TUBING PLUGS LINER AND DRAIN PLUGS INSERTED WITHOUT AIR POCKETS If you have not purchased the Front or Rear Optional Shelves, cover the open ends of the square tubing, two (2) in Front and two (2) in the Rear with (K), (4) square plugs provided. The plugs simply push into the square holes. The plugs can be removed if the Optional Shelves are purchased later. INSERTING THE (4) PROVIDED SQUARE PLUGS 12

14 If you have not purchased the Optional Green House Assembly, cover the Option Holes with (J), (4) Round Plastic Plugs provided. These plugs can be removed if the Green House Option is purchased later. INSERT FOUR (4) ROUND PLUGS IN UNUSED OPTION HOLES. Lgarden0100A
