2 The Department of Biotechnology, Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology organized a one day Industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., Sonipat (Haryana) on 29 th September 2014 for B.Tech. (Biotechnology) 2 nd & 3 rd year Engineering students. The visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Hon.MD, Dr. O.P. Agarwal, Director NIET, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar and Head of Department Dr. Gagnesh Sharma, along with the staff members, students of N.I.E.T. which made this visit a grand success. Mr. Ankit Kumar, Ms. Heena Pahwa, Ms. Shivani Bisht and Mr. Saurabh Yadav, teaching faculty of BT department accompanied with this industrial visit. Total 56 students of class B.Tech. (BT) along with 4 faculty members have joined this industrial visit. The one day visit was organized with prior permission of Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., Sonipat (Haryana). 3 It was a good experience, which has provided exposure to the 2 nd & 3 rd year students with industrial life. The students are benefited in terms of the technical details provided by the company on an important part of introduction, importance of probiotics, industrial process & Career Opportunities. They conducted around 1 hour and 30 min sessions followed by industrial visit which covered the following details:- The presentation session was conducted by: 1) Mr. Jagdish 2) Mr. Vikas 1. History of industry. 2. Product Lifecycle. [Product concept, Design, Engineering/Development] 3. Technology. [Pilot Scale Production to Giant Scale Production] 4. Different areas for which Industries works. [Mixing of Raw Ingredients, Sterilization, Fermentation Tank, Storage Tank, Sterilization, Blending Tank, Injection Moulding Machine, Bottle Storage Tank, Unscrambler, Printing Machine, Filling Machine, Shrink-Packing Machine, Refrigeration Room] 5. Core concepts related with microorganism, process development and importance of product in day to day life. 6. Quality Control and Quality Assurance lab provide the knowledge to test the quality & efficacy of product.

6 Students' Feedback Industrial visit to Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., Sonipat (Haryana) was organized by NIET, Gr. Noida for 2 nd & 3 rd Year Students of Bio-Technology Department. The guiding staff on site was very supportive to all students. We are sure that this visit will help us in our future practical life and bring a positive change in our thinking and practical behavior regarding Education and specially Engineering. We, the Students of 2 nd & 3 rd Year Bio-Technology Engineering are extremely thankful to Hon. M.D. NIET, Dr. O. P.
