The Henderson facility is located within the Australia Marine Complex (AMC). The AMC was established to provide infrastructure and support to the local maritime and offshore oil and gas industries. Within the AMC, there are a number of specialised engineering companies available to assist BAE Systems. These approved suppliers provide us with additional expertise and resources to successfully complete large-scale ship repair and conversion projects. With the largest ship lift in WA and one of the largest in Australia our Henderson Shipyard prides itself on being a world-class facility to execute your project in a safe, flexible but timely manner, whilst meeting your schedule and budget. Our clients include; Svitzer, Riverwijs, Tidewater Marine, Go Marine, Farstad Shipping, Swire Pacific Offshore, Bhagwan Marine, Rio Tinto, Polarcus, DOF Subsea, Van Oord, Mermaid Marine Australia and Boskalis. BAE Systems 8,000 tonne ship lift can accommodate vessels that are up to 150 metres in length and 24.5 metres beam. The ship lift provides access to a number of fully-serviced dry berths via a rotary turntable. This gives us flexibility to dock and undock multiple vessels which helps our clients meet stringent docking schedules. Many of the vessels we service at Henderson operate in the oil and gas industry, and are deployed off the North West coast of Western Australia. Typically they consist of offshore and infield supply vessels, anchor handlers and geophysical research vessels. We also support the ports and their operators with the docking of tugs, dredging vessels, fueling barges, cargo and livestock vessels.
