3 R. STAHL HMI Innovations direct sunlight Sunlight-Readable Displays Our innovative sunlight-readable (SR) displays ensure best readability even in bright ambient light conditions, e.g. on oil rigs. Compared to other standard sunlight-viewable displays, this display type with its innovative polarization filter system blocks out any disturbing reflections and glare, thus ensuring best image quality. Widescreens / Multi-Monitor Setups / Walls for "Purged" Container Applications Widescreens and multi-monitor setups / walls provide large-scale visualization of all relevant processes in purged containers. However, if the purged condition in the container fails, widescreens and multi-monitor walls cannot be operated, and small, explosionprotected emergency displays have to be used instead that offer only limited visualization capability. This problem now belongs to the past: R. STAHL HMI provides explosion-protected widescreens, keyboard and mouse modules in line with office ergonomics, ensuring permanent and optimum visualization even in emergencies. Plug-and-Play Full Clients (Panel PCs) with Pre-Installed Operating Systems All our Full Clients / Panel PCs can be fully pre-configured ex-factory with a closed multi-lingual operating system (Windows XP / Windows Embedded / 7 Ultimate, etc.). The systems are designed as OPEN HMIs, i.e. they are open for all types of software applications. Thin Clients with REMOTE HMI FIRMWARE Our Thin Client HMIs are fitted with a special firmware that protects the HMI system against external manipulations, monitors the entire data communication, and diagnoses any error messages immediately. The firmware also simplifies IP addressing as well as the entire configuration management. 3
