The year is divided into four quarters of three months each, namely: July-September, October-December, January- March, April-June. Courses are divided into three per a quarter, with a practicum of three months. (NOTE: SW CAMPUS 1 AND NW CAMPUS 2 Will start lectures during the second quarter, Oct, 2013). Certificate of Biblical Studies/Core Courses (30 credit hour program) Purpose Designed for students seeking basic Christian foundations of Biblical truth and understanding to assist them in the various ministries of the church. This program is ideal for students with no prior systematic Bible teaching. Students completing the 30 quarter hours of class work in residence or online will be able to progress to the Higher Diploma/Associate level. This course may be completed in one year as a full-time student or on a part-time basis. The cost of program is $ payable in three installments, plus books, application, 1

2 graduation fees. First installment is payable upon registration; second and third installments payable thirty and sixty days each thereafter. Each campus retains 30% of tuition paid by student and send 70% to the headquarters of the college. CERTIFICATE PROGRAM Our Certificate program is similar to the Diploma program except that it takes only 5 months to complete and fewer courses are offered. 3 DIPLOMA PROGRAM This program provides students with the opportunity to synthesize and synchronize their new life in Christ with the high calling of serving the Lord through a deeper knowledge of Christ. Courses of the program include the following; Purpose This program is built from the certificate of Biblical Studies. The 60 credit-hour program is designed to give the student a broad scope encompassing specific New Testament and Old Testament studies. Students receiving this degree are prepared to further study at the Bachelor level at RCBC&S, transfer to other institutions or enter into church-related ministries as biblical-oriented laypersons. Students who earn the Diploma/Associate degree and transfer to other institutions are advised to obtain advanced approval in writing from the college to which they plan to transfer the credits. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to demonstrate competency in the basic knowledge of the Triune God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Students should also be able to lead many souls to Christ through the correct application of the knowledge gained in the program. Students should in addition be able to demonstrate the required leadership to lead, grow and prepare ministries for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. COURSE OBJECTIVES The program targets the following objectives: Knowledge Explain the complete interaction and relationship of the Word with the Trinity Identify applicable principles of the Bible toward effective evangelism and personal growth Understand and be able to explain the emergence of the early church in correlation with present day church Understand pastoral responsibilities and duties as ordered by God 3

4 Skills Demonstrate correct application of the bible to life situations Foster excellent leadership among God s Flock in churches and ministries Communicate and project the mind of God to God s people Gain a clear understanding of the ways the Holy Spirit operates in empowering God s people. Analyze the correlation between the old testament and the new testament Attitudes Justify the new life through obedience, teachable spirit and an enduring thirst for fullness of the Spirit Appreciate the relationship between the Trinity and the individual as a divine creation. Holder of certificate in Theology from any Bible College approved by the College Authority. 3. Holder of any certificate or degree approved by the college 4. Evidence of new life and baptism in the Holy Spirit where applicable CLASS BREAKDOWN Lecture Hours: 48 (Scheduled for 32 Weeks) Research 12 (Scheduled for 4 weeks) Total Hours: 60 CREDIT HOURS 60 Credit Hours TEACHING STRATEGIES The teaching strategies in this program include facilitated discussion (with visuals as needed), demonstration, class discussion, feedback, etc. 5

6 GRADING Graded Assignments 40% Fieldwork (internship) 20% Research Project 20% FINAL EXAM 20% It is recommended that students keep all Graded Assignments for their record. At the end the program, each student is assigned a final grade as follows: Grade Quality Points Point Range Interpretation A Excellent A B B Above Average B C C Average C D D Below Average F & below Failure I 0.0 Incomplete COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS Students must achieve a passing grade of C or above by completing all required examinations, submitting all required lab assignments and projects, and meeting the standards of the College attendance policy. ATTENDANCE AND CLASSROOM POLICIES Students are expected to adhere to the attendance and tardiness policies of the College. 6

7 GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS o o Students must be committed to the absolute Lordship of Christ, through an ongoing relationship with Him, and by a desire to reach greater maturity in Him, in full obedience to His will. Students must be actively involved in a church and is a Christian. A high school diploma, or its equivalent, for entrance into the undergraduate program. The RCBC is an Equal Opportunity Institute of Higher Learning. CONFIDENTIALITY OF STUDENT RECORDS The Redeemed Bible College provides confidentiality of student records. This policy is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) as amended. At the discretion of the institution, may provide directory information, i. e. student name, address, telephone number, date and place of birth, major field of study, dates of attendance, degrees and awards received, the most recent previous educational agency or institution attended by the student and participation in officially recognized activities. Students may withhold directory information by notifying the registrar in writing. STANDARDS OF CONDUCT Due to Biblical demands of discipleship, it is expected that all students attending the RCBC will maintain the highest standards of conviction and conduct. Specific rules and guidelines are outlined in the RCBC Student Handbook. Each student will receive a copy of the handbook upon admission to the college. ACADEMIC ADVISING Students who have academic questions are encouraged to consult with the Dean of Academic Affairs, Recruiter, or Registrar. It is advised that students keep copies of all their course enrollment forms to assist in academic advising and to safeguard the accuracy of student records. 7

8 REPEATING A COURSE A student who receives a grade of "F" in a required course must repeat the course in order to graduate. A student may elect to repeat any other course. When a course is repeated, the last grade points and credit hours earned replace the previous grade points and credit hours in computing the grade average. However, all grade entries on the transcript remain a part of the student's permanent academic record. The student must indicate that it is a repeat course at the time of registering for the course. COURSE WITHDRAWAL Voluntary A student who wishes to withdraw voluntarily during a semester shall meet the Registrar. The student must submit a letter of withdrawal and satisfy all financial obligations before withdrawal or they will not receive academic transcripts. Grades of WP or WF shall be placed on the student's transcript for the courses in which the student was enrolled. Unauthorized A student who leaves during a semester without officially withdrawing will receive a grade for the class, possibly an "F". To avoid this, students should follow procedures for voluntary withdrawal. In exceptional circumstances such as a prolonged emergency, a student may be Administratively Withdrawn. In these cases, WP (withdraw passing) grades shall be placed on the student's academic transcript for courses enrolled in that semester, unless the instructor specifies that WF (withdrawal failing) be posted. GRADUATION POLICY To qualify for graduation, a student must: Fulfill the academic requirements for the degree with a 2.00 average or higher undergraduate degree, or 3.00 (B) - graduate degrees. Fulfill all financial obligations thirty days before the graduation date. Pay the graduation fee. Have a graduation evaluation done by the Registrar's Office one semester before the anticipated graduation. 8
