7 SPRING GETTING MORE POPULAR June was the most typical month for the Indian to stay in Finland. 12 PURPOSE OF THE TRIP Majority of trips made from India, with Finland as the main destination, were business trips. 13 EXPENDITURE PER TRIP TO FINLAND Services accounted for 83 % of the total expenditure. They include accommodation and restaurant services, transportation as well as culture and recreation services, including those paid in advance. Products include shopping and food. Products 17% 528 per trip 70 per day Services 83% Average Indian visitor spent 528 during the trip to Finland, which makes India the 4th biggest spender per trip after China, Switzerland and France. 14 ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES IN FINLAND What is interesting about and what was experienced in Finland Share of trips to Finland 70% 60% 50% 40% 30% 20% 10% 0% 19% 39% Finnish cultural attractions 5% 27% Summer activities on land (e.g. cycling, hiking, wildlife watching) Interested in 11% 18% Finnish sauna Interested and experienced during trip 5% 18% Summer activities on the water (e.g. swimming paddling, sailing, cruises, fishing) 5% 12% Finnish culinary experiences (e.g. food) 0% 15% Finnish archipelago 1% 8% Wellness services and treatments Finnish cultural attractions were the most interesting experiences for the Indian in Finland: altogether 58 % were interested in them and one fifth of visitors had also experienced them.
