Because of Wake Forest s connections, access, brand reputation and experience in India, we saw the country in ways completely unique to the program, and unlike any business trip or vacation. By day, we ventured the country, meeting face to face with executives of major multinational corporations, learning about their local and global strategies and operations. Connections like this are usually unthinkable! We also explored village-based artisan businesses, whose profits would be used to improve the local community these were truly eye-opening visits. By night and on off days, we explored hidden gems throughout the country that were inaccessible to the average tourist, helping us develop a deeper appreciation of the culture and community and providing some great memories, too! I m extremely appreciative of the 2012 Wake Forest MBA visit to India; it was by far the highlight of my MBA career. ~ Ian Hennessy MBA 12 International Study Programs are a fun, educational, and enriching way to explore the intersection between business and culture around the world. This year, the Wake Forest University School of Business offers programs in China/Japan, India, and Latin America. Trips are taken either during spring break (Latin America), or in early May (China/Japan, India). The trips include company visits, meetings with business and government leaders, tours of significant cultural and historical sites, and some shared meals and entertainment. International programs help students understand how business is conducted in different parts of the world, and how various cultures have dealt with common business challenges, often in ways that are unique to a culture.
