Wiss, MD (Trauma) Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles, CA Dr. Wiss is the Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His clinical and research focus is on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and post-traumatic fracture reconstruction. He is a founding member of the Orthopedic Trauma Society (OTA) and is a past President of the organization. Dr. Wiss has been an AAOS MOC course faculty member since its inception in 2006 and a director since Vikas V. Patel, MD, MA, BSME (Spine) Univ. of Colorado Hospital, the Spine Center Denver, CO Dr. Patel is currently Chief of Orthopedic Spine Surgery at the University of Colorado where he has practiced for 12 years. He has an adult degenerative and deformity spine practice and is active with education of residents and medical students. He also directs the spine surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado. His research work includes stem cells for musculoskeletal tissue regeneration, spinal biomechanics, pain evaluation and management, and bioengineering in spine care.
