The content of engineering studies has been criticised for its failure to keep up with the pace of change as well as its lack of appeal to students, especially women. In response to this, the project will develop a tool for university-industry collaboration in identifying suitable problembased study materials that also take the gender perspective into account. Initially, partners will develop a prototype of the LOUPE method and digital search tool (problem/case checklist and assessment) to be tested in each partner country. Following this, selected case studies will be used in engineering curricula and their impact evaluated for gender inclusiveness and innovative character. Adjustments will be made and the LOUPE method tested again within different branches of engineering. The partnership will further involve SEFI (Société européenne de formation des ingénieurs) in an open discussion on women and engineering. The prototype and final tool will be available on a special LOUPE web site. Results will consist of a final digital tool and methodology, 120 cases/problems and a series of flyers, reports and articles. An magazine will be issued to interested parties and a final international conference held in Amsterdam.
