1 Real Estate Marketing with QR Codes QR Codes QR CODES EXPLAINED QR stands for Quick Response QR Codes look like some kind of Optical Maze, but in fact they are more like a Barcode on steroids. Data can be embedded within a QR Code, and then accessed by a user scanning the QR Code with their smart phone. The smart phone user simply selects the scanner on their phone menu, and then points their phone at the QR Code to scan it. They are then instantly taken to the Website that the QR Code has been coded to load. QR Codes can be placed on any printed material Brochures and Flyers, Business Cards and Letterheads, even in Newspaper Advertisements, to instantly take the reader to your Website.

2 Using QR Codes in Your Real Estate Marketing QR codes can be incorporated into real estate marketing in a variety of ways, and there are two easy locales for QR codes to be placed onto promotional materials. The first is in the For Sale Listing Flyers, typically displayed in Real Estate Agency windows, or handed out at Open Days for a particular listing. The second is on the For Sale signs themselves, posted outside of many houses. Both resources provide costs and basic information about the home for sale, however, there is a limited amount of space available for a realtor to adequately market their merchandise. On Listing Flyers, if some of this space was used up with a small QR code, the potential homebuyer could then be linked to a website with a virtual tour of the home or an additional fact sheet, or even an overall house page including all of this information. Similarly to the way in which QR codes can be used to link from Listing Flyers to individual home pages on your Website, or just to your Website in general, these codes should also be placed on the For Sale signs outside homes. If there was a QR code on the sign, that a potential buyer could stop and scan to provide them with all the more detailed information, including your contacts, right at their fingertips, they are much more likely to pursue contacting you regarding this home purchase. This can be especially important if the home is multi-listed, and has a number of For Sales signs outside the home. Otherwise, who do they choose to contact for more detailed information re the home?. The agent with the biggest sign or the largest phone number? Or the agent who provides them with the most detailed information in the first place.

3 Two more ways to use QR Codes in your marketing: Your Business Cards Have your QR Code printed on the back of your traditional Business Cards. This transforms your business Cards to multidimensional, linking them directly to your website. Traditional Print Advertising in Newspapers or Magazines - Adding your QR Code to your print advertising in Newspapers or Magazines again transforms a very old traditional advertising medium, linking your print advertising live to your website. Many real estate practitioners are finding QR codes to be a useful marketing tool, especially with tech-savvy consumers, here s a few tips on how they are using them: "I have a QR code on the back of my business card that takes people to a video. I leave my card at properties that I show and hand them out to my customers, new prospects, and businesses. The [QR code] makes the card come alive. There s a testimonial video for me right on my card. It s a great way for me to market and promote myself. I constantly hear, 'So, this takes you to a video?!
