20 T cell responses T cells recognize antigen bound to MHC molecules on antigen presenting cells. Therefore, the specificity of T cells is more difficult to asses than the specificity of antibody responses. Restimulation of T cells with antigen in vitro is often required to assess the specificity and function of T cells.
