1 If you are a freshman in: Travel Directions Calhoun, Davenport, Jonathan Edwards, Ezra Stiles, or Trumbull College, follow directions to Phelps Gate, Old Campus (GPS address 344 College Street) Branford or Saybrook College, follow directions to Vanderbilt Hall, Old Campus (GPS address 1035 Chapel Street) Berkeley, Morse, or Pierson College, follow directions to Elm Street, Old Campus (GPS address 206 Elm Street) Silliman College, follow directions to Silliman College, (GPS address 505 College Street) Timothy Dwight College follow directions to Timothy Dwight College (GPS address 345 Temple Street) The streets adjacent to the Old Campus, Timothy Dwight and Silliman Colleges will be kept clear on Friday, August 26, for unloading. If you arrive to campus by car, please display your residential college sign in your car windshield so the traffic police can direct you to the correct unloading area for your residence. Beginning at 9 a.m.,upperclassmen will be on hand to help carry belongings to your rooms. After your car is unloaded, please move it to a parking space (see below). Free parking is available on Friday, August 26, in Lot 16, Lot 22, and Pierson Sage Garage (entrance to all three on Whitney Avenue at Humphrey Street (GPS address 230 Whitney Avenue). A shuttle bus will make the round trip continuously from Lot 16, Lot 22, and Pierson Sage Garage parking areas to Timothy Dwight and Silliman Colleges and to the Old Campus. Free parking is also available on Saturday, August 27, in Lot 16,

2 Lot 22 and Pierson Sage Garage, as well as Lot 78 on Ashmun Street and Lot 51 on Temple Street. Shuttle pickup locations: Pierson Sage Garage and Lots 16 and 22: driveway between Lots 16 and 22 Timothy Dwight and Silliman Colleges: corner of Wall and College Streets Old Campus: corner of Elm and College Streets Guides and signs will be located at Phelps Gate and at the corner of College and Elm Streets. Commercial parking lots and garages are also available on Grove Street (near Whitney Avenue), on York Street (near Crown Street), on Broadway (near the Yale Bookstore), and at the corner of College and Crown Streets. From Interstate 95 North or South Old Campus (Phelps Gate) Take exit for I 91 North toward Hartford Springfield. Continue for a short distance on I 91 to Exit 3, Trumbull Street. Stay in the middle lane as exiting and continue straight on Trumbull Street. At fourth stoplight, turn left onto Prospect Street. At intersection of Prospect and Grove Streets, Prospect becomes College Street; Woolsey Hall may be seen on the right. Proceed on College Street past Wall and Elm Streets until the middle of the next block. The entrance to Phelps Gate is on right side of the street in the middle of the block. Old Campus (Vanderbilt Hall) Follow directions to Phelps Gate above. Continue on College Street and turn right at the next stoplight onto Chapel Street. Vanderbilt Hall is in the first block on your right.

3 Old Campus (Elm Street) Follow directions to Phelps Gate above. Continue on College Street and turn right at the next stoplight onto Chapel Street. Turn right at the second stoplight at York Street. Follow York Street to Elm Street. Turn right onto Elm Street. Old Campus gates are on the right after passing one stoplight (High Street). Silliman College Take exit for I 91 North toward Hartford Springfield. Continue for a short distance on I 91 to Exit 3, Trumbull Street. Stay in the middle lane as exiting and continue straight on Trumbull Street. At the third stoplight take a left onto Temple Street. Continue on Temple Street to Chapel Street. Turn right onto Chapel Street. Continue on Chapel Street to the next stoplight. Turn right onto College Street. Follow College Street to the third block. The Silliman College gate is on the right side of the street. Timothy Dwight College Take exit for I 91 North toward Hartford Springfield. Continue for a short distance on I 91 to Exit 3, Trumbull Street. Stay in the middle lane as exiting and continue straight on Trumbull Street. At the third stoplight, turn left onto Temple Street. Continue on Temple Street past the next stoplight. Timothy Dwight College gate is on the left side of the street. From Route 15, (Wilbur Cross/Merritt Parkways) to Old Campus (Elm Street gate), Old Campus (Phelps gate), Old Campus (Vanderbilt Hall) From North: Take Exit 61. Drive south on Whitney Avenue for approximately five miles. Turn right onto Sachem Street at the Peabody Museum traffic light. Continue to the next traffic light at Prospect Street and turn left. Proceed until Prospect becomes College Street; Woolsey Hall may be seen on the right. Cross Wall Street and Elm Street.

4 For Elm Street gate, continue on College Street and turn right at the next stoplight onto Chapel Street. Follow Chapel Street to the second stoplight and turn right onto York Street. Follow York Street to the next stoplight and turn right onto Elm Street. The Elm Street gate is on your right after you pass High Street. For Phelps Gate, continue on College Street past Wall and Elm Streets until the middle of the next block. The entrance to Phelps Gate on the Old Campus is in the middle of the block, opposite the New Haven Green. For Vanderbilt Hall, continue on College Street and turn right at the next stoplight onto Chapel Street. Vanderbilt Hall gate is in the first block on your right. From South: Take Exit 57. Drive East on Route 34 (Derby Avenue) for approximately five miles past the Yale Athletic Fields. Take left onto Route 10 North, Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Proceed to fifth traffic light and turn right onto Whalley Avenue. Continue straight for 1.3 miles. Whalley Avenue becomes Broadway, and Broadway becomes Elm Street. For Elm Street gate, continue on Elm Street until you pass High Street. The Elm Street gate is on your right after you pass High Street. For Phelps gate, continue on Elm Street and turn right onto College Street. The entrance to Phelps Gate on the Old Campus is in the middle of the block on the right side of the street. For Vanderbilt Hall, continue on Elm Street and turn right onto College Street and turn right at the next stoplight onto Chapel Street. Vanderbilt Hall gate is in the first block on your right.

5 From Route 15, (Wilbur Cross/Merritt Parkways) to Silliman and Timothy Dwight Colleges From North: Take Exit 61. Drive South on Whitney Avenue for approximately five miles. At the intersection of Trumbull and Whitney, Whitney becomes Temple Street. Continue on Temple Street past Grove Street until the beginning of the next block. For Timothy Dwight College the entrance to the college is on your left. For Silliman College, continue down Temple Street to Chapel Street. Take a right turn onto Chapel Street. Follow Chapel Street to the next stoplight and turn right onto College Street. Follow College Street to the third block. Silliman College will be on your right. From South: Take Exit 57. Drive East on Route 34 (Derby Avenue) for approximately five miles past the Yale Athletic Fields. Turn left onto Route 10 North, Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Continue to the fifth traffic light and turn right onto Whalley Avenue. Continue straight for 1.3 miles. Whalley Avenue becomes Elm Street. The Elm Street gate is on your right after you pass High Street. For Silliman College, continue on Elm to College Street. Turn left onto College Street. Follow College Street to the second block. Silliman College will be on your right. For Timothy Dwight College, continue on Elm Street to Church Street. Take a left onto Church Street and at the second stoplight take a left onto Grove Street. At the first light take a left onto Temple Street. Timothy Dwight College will be on your left. Route 34 From the West: Follow directions above for Route 15 from the South.
