4 SELECT YOUR BREAKOUT SESSION During the following time slots, conference attendees will choose which session to attend from among one of four options. Descriptions of those four sessions are below. Attendees are required to select and attend one session during each time slot. Space in in each session is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2:25 p.m. 2:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 9:55 a.m. 10:25 a.m. Engaging New AI Professionals 2 We can probably all agree that engaging younger appraisers is crucial. What is your chapter doing to achieve this? What are your biggest obstacles? The Appraisal Institute s Diversity Committee is currently focused on this issue, and Chairman Bob Stevens, MAI, will lead an interactive session focused on potential strategies for strengthening AI, and your chapters, through the engagement of new AI professionals. The Future of Chapter Marketing Tools An interactive work-session to help the Marketing Department develop even more effective tools for the Chapters to use. Session will begin with a quick review of currently available materials and planned changes for Attendees will be asked for their input to identify new Marketing tools for 2017 and determine current materials that should be sun-setted. AI Benefits & Partners Are you aware of the various course scholarships and other assistance available to the members of your chapter? How about the benefits and affinity programs available to your chapter and membership? This session will make you familiar with numerous benefits and programs, and how your chapter can leverage them to provide value at the chapter and member levels. Past Chapter Presidents Roundtable This session will provide incoming chapter presidents a unique opportunity to ask questions of past chapter presidents, and CLP Planning Team members, Michelle Alexander, MAI, and Jason Teynor, MAI. Engage with them and each other to help get you prepared for the months leading into your presidency and then your term in office. Bring your questions this will be a free flowing and energetic session which you will leave with an increased comfort level and excitement about your upcoming tenure as chapter president. 4
