1 The Rock Show Society Inc Horse Events Schedule Saturday 18 October 2014 Venue The Rock Showgrounds, Lockhart Road, The Rock Rings commence at 9am Gate admission - Adults - $10, Children 5 16 years - $2, Under 5 years - free Ring Master Ralph Sonneman Ring Events Coordinator Ann Cramp ENTRY FEES RING EVENTS All ring classes, including Fun Ring, are $2 per class. Tickets for classes are to be purchased from the Show Ring Office (Caravan) which will be located at the show ring main entry gate. No refunds on un-used tickets. Refer to show jumping event list for entry fees INDEMNITY WAIVER & REGISTRATION Indemnity waiver form and horse registration must be signed and handed in to Show Ring Office (Caravan), and then a wrist band will be issued by the society. Property Identification Code (PIC) must be included on the Indemnity Waiver form. No wrist band = no competition. A similar form must also be completed and signed by a parent or guardian for each competitor who is under 18 years of age. Every competitor or spectator who enters the arena must sign an indemnity and waiver form and wear a wristband at all times. Upon completion of Indemnity/Registration form you will be issued with a registration number per horse and indemnity wrist band. You will now only be required to produce your registration number to the Ring Steward for recording which will refer back to the Horse Registration form you have completed which is held in the Ring Secretary s office. The number system will assist both stewards and competitors by reducing time spent recording winners and place-getters. SHOWJUMPING Show Jumping enquiries Mr Lyndsay Bromfield - mobile Walk the course from 9am Jumping starts 9.30am The show jumping events are unofficial classes run by the Riverina Show Jumping Club Inc. All rings and events commence at the time advertised in the program. 2. Rings and classes will not be held up for late comers. Classes may be delayed at the discretion of the judge, for example Champion and Reserve Champion events. 3. Horses must be ridden in snaffle bit where specified in the program. Horses will be asked to leave the ring if not complying with this rule. 4. Stallions are to be bridled and bitted regardless of breed and age, and handled or ridden by a person over 18 years. 5. Ribbons to 3 rd place. No prize money. Prizes as specified in the program. 6. District events Must reside in the Lockhart Shire 7. Pony is not exceeding 14hh. Galloway over 14 ne 15hh. Hack over 15hh 8. Age of rider is actual age on the day of event 9. Age of horse is from 1 st August 10. Registered Breed Events - Papers must be shown at office when submitting Indemnity Waiver Forms 11. All exhibits must be bona fide property of exhibitor, or his principal, at date of entry. 12. The Society is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any exhibit. 13. No exhibitor shall be allowed with the judge during judging. The judge may refuse to judge the exhibits of any exhibitor infringing this rule. 14. The interpretation of any regulations by the Ringmaster and/or the Ring Committee shall be final. 15. All stewards/stewardesses shall withdraw while judging of exhibits in which they are interested, directly or indirectly, is taking place. 16. The above rules and regulations are to be read in conjunction with all other rules and regulations printed in the Show Schedule. DISPUTES The decision of the judge will be final unless a protest is lodged at the Show Ring Office in writing within thirty minutes accompanied by a deposit of $25 which will be forfeited if the Ring Committee finds the protest frivolous and the decision of the Ring Master and two of the Ring Committee on a protest shall be final. Exhibitors making verbal protest in the ring will risk the penalty of expulsion from future shows at the Ring Committee s pleasure. YARDS Metal Portable yards are allowed on the grounds. Please check with committee prior to erecting these. No electric fencing (tape) or electric fence units are to be erected or used on the showgrounds. The Society will take all reasonable care for the safety of all exhibits, but will not be held responsible for any accident or loss that might occur to, from, or by any exhibitor during the show, and that each exhibitor should hold the management of the society blameless and indemnify it from legal proceedings arising from any such lesser accident. Lunch break in all rings at 12 noon. Classes resume at 1pm
