1 TruLink Media Gateway SELECTION GUIDE The Connectivity Panel is capable of overcoming the challenges brought about as technology evolves during the Analog Sunset by providing a means to easily connect either analog or digital devices to an HDTV or projector through a single HDMI cable. The Media Gateway is a powerful all-in-one audio/video connectivity panel that enables users to connect laptops, ipod /ipad /iphone devices*, digital/video cameras, Blu-ray or DVD players, and game consoles. Simply follow the steps in this selection guide to choose from the available connection types and compatible mounting options to find the Media Gateway solution that fits the needs of each installation. *Due to Apple using the Lightning connector on the iphone 5 instead of the 30-pin dock connector, the iphone 5 is compatible with the Media Gateway for charging only. To charge the iphone 5 it must be connected to the USB port on the Media Gateway using an Apple Lightning to USB cable. The cable used to connect Apple devices to the Media Gateway for audio and video requires that the Apple device use a 30-pin dock connector.

Specialized accessories, unique to the Media Gateway, are available and range from a 90 HDMI cable capable of being secured to the back of the Media Gateway to serial cables which allow for the control of non-cec compliant HDTVs or projectors. E-Z Update Key E-Z Update Key The E-Z Update Key, when passed in front of a Media Gateway, will easily reboot an installed Media Gateway without cycling the power. Perfect for in-wall and in-furniture applications where power is not readily accessible. Connect a USB flash drive containing updated firmware to the Media Gateway, then use the E-Z Update Key to reboot the Media Gateway which will allow the new firmware to be loaded. White Face Plates F1 Face Plate F2 Face Plate F3/W3 Face Plate This face plate allows the F1, F2, F3, or W3 models to be customized to match the installation environment. Simply remove the standard black face plate then snap on and secure this new face plate. Constructed of high quality ABS plastic, this face plate is designed for durability and a long life. Splitter Power Cable Splitter Power Cable The Splitter Power Cable easily powers the and your HDTV with a single power cable. This cable splits the HDTVs existing power cable into three AC outlets. This allows you to provide power to the Media Gateway, the HDTV, and one additional device. RJ45 Cap RJ45 Cap The RJ45 Cap is designed to protect any unused Ethernet port from dust and debris when it is not in use. The RJ45 cap is constructed of high quality ABS plastic and is designed for durability and a long life.
