More specifically, I use behavioral and agency theories to focus on two research domains. First, I study the antecedents and outcomes of corporate restructuring activities, such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and diversification. Second, I study the processes that encompass corporate governance with an emphasis on how the interaction between CEOs and boards of directors impacts executive compensation and strategic risk taking.
