FADE IN: INT. CAR - DUSK Two men are in a car. One is driving while the other is sitting in the passenger s seat. (Early 20 s) is driving the car and is wearing black pants, gloves, a white shirt, and a black coat. (Early 20 s) is sitting in the passenger s seat and is wearing black jeans, a white shirt, and a black coat. : So, Jerry...we re going to do what again? : For the last time, Eric: We ve been assigned to do "business" with a woman. : Oh, I understand. Jerry parks the car close to a house. INT. CAR - DUSK : Now we wait for the person that lives in the house to come home. Jerry pulls out a book and starts reading it while Eric is left doing nothing but sit until the owner of the home comes home. Eric then starts to move closer and closer towards Jerry so that he can read the book. Jerry continues to read despite Eric being really close to him and breathing heavily on him. As this happens, Jerry s grip on the book tightens and gritting his teeth until he can t take it anymore. : (cont d) Will you stop that! It s really annoying!

2. : Sorry, Eric. Jeez. Eric goes back to sitting normally. Eric starts looking around to do something while him and Eric wait for the homeowner to return home. He then sees Eric s carton of cigarettes and picks them up. : (cont d) So you like fags, huh? Jerry turns to look at Eric with a serious look on his face. : What...did you just say? : "Fags" is another name for a cigarette? : You have got to be joking. : Nope. It s true. You see: British people loved to call them "Fags". I know it sounds weird but that s what British people called them back in the 70 s. : Damn. I did not know that. Looks like there s another meaning for that word. : That s right, Jerry. 25 minutes past and it s now night time. Both men are still in the car waiting for the person that lives in the house to come home. INT. CAR - NIGHT : In conclusion: Darren Aronofksy s "The Fountain", is more of a movie about accepting death than trying to live forever.

3. : But what was the point of having it told through three different stories? : You know, Eric: Sometimes it s best to have a plot told differently instead of being told straightforward, hm? Eric looks at Jerry for a couple seconds but doesn t say anything. : (cont d) Forget it. A couple seconds of silence passes until Eric starts talking. : What if the person that lives in this house doesn t even come back? : That s...a good question, Eric. My answer would be...hmmmm...i really don t know. : I m just asking because it s been like what? 10 minutes and she still hasn t come back yet? : Well you never know, Eric. She could be turning around the corner right about- Right when Jerry is about to finish talking, a car pulls up into the house s driveway. A woman in her 20 s gets out and walks into the home. : Is that her, Jerry? : Yes, Eric. That s the person we ve been waiting for. : Well let s go and-

4. Not yet. : : But...why? I thought- : Well we have to wait for a couple more minutes for her to settle in because she might get freaked out by us if we get out right now and go up to her. : Oh, yeah. You re right. Mhm. : 5 minutes later...jay and Eric are still in the car waiting until it s time for them to do "business" with the woman. : We ve been waiting for about 5 minutes. Can we please go and do what we need to do? : Just a couple more minutes. A couple seconds pass and it s nothing but silence from both of them. Until Jerry starts talking. INT. HOUSE - NIGHT : (cont d) Alright. Let s do this. Emily (A woman in her early 20 s) is sitting on her couch watching T.V. A knock on the door is heard and Emily gets up to see who s knocking on the door. EXT. HOUSE - NIGHT Emily opens the door and both Jerry and Eric are standing in front of her looking innocent and nice. Eric is also holding a case. : (cont d) Hello. What s your name?

5. Emily. : : Oh, okay. It s nice to meet you, Emily. I m Jerry and this is my partner: Eric. : Hello there, Emily. : Hello, men. Are you here to do business with me or something? : That s right, Emily. How would you like to own a Katana? : That...would be cool. I do prefer owning a gun but owning a Katana would be awesome. : Well check this out. Eric holds up the case and opens it up revealing...a beautiful looking Katana. Emily is amazed at the look of it. : Wow. It s amazing. You wanna come inside? It s cold outside and I don t want you guys to freeze to death. That would be lovely. Jerry and Eric step into the house and sit on the couch in the living room. Emily sits down on of the chairs in the living room to continue talking to them. So that Katana...can it cut through anything? Because I have heard from people that have used them before say that katanas can cut through anything with the exception of metal.

6. That s right. Mhm. Heck, you can cut through your enemies in half like a turkey s head getting cut off at a Thanksgiving dinner party. There s silence for a couple seconds until Emily starts talking. My...that s...one way...to describe what a katana can cut through. Yep. (Nervous chuckle). Sorry if my partner s attempt at dark humor was not that good. It s alright. Now about this katana: How much does it cost? The price for this katana is: $850. Oh my. But if you want to lower the price, we can negotiate on it. Alright. I ll pay you guys dollars. You fine with that? That sounds good. No it s not. What s the problem, Jerry?

7. Well this is an impressive weapon and a weapon like this needs to have a bigger price tag. 450 bucks is nothing. Oh, alright. How much then? 650 bucks. Take it or leave it. Are you sure- It s alright. Besides, I have the money. Okay. Sounds good. Alright. You guys stay right here while I go get my purse. After Emily leaves the living room, Eric and Jerry look at each other and start nodding their heads at each other. They get up and walk to Emily s room. INT. S ROOM Eric and Jerry each pull out a...pistol...and while Emily is focusing on getting money out of her purse... BANG! She gets shot in the back of her head and falls to the ground. Jerry and Eric walk over to her body to see if she s dead. Eric then shoots her in the head again causing Jerry to get mad. What the hell are you doing!? I was making sure she s dead!

8. Do you really think someone would be able to survive a bullet to the head? It s happened in movies before. Are we in a movie right now? No. But you never know. That s right. Also, does it look like she s moving or breathing right now? No. Again, that s right. Why? Because she s dead. Do I need to repeat myself again or do can you tell that she s dead? No. I understand. Good. Now if you could excuse me, I m going to make a call to our boss and tell him that we ve completed the mission. Alright. You want me to bury the body or- No. Our boss will send in some guys to get rid of the body. Okay. What do you want me to do? You just wait outside.

9. Can I watch TV? No. But I have my gloves on right now. Alright, fine. You can watch TV but please don t screw anything else up. Eric leaves the room to watch TV while Eric calls his boss. INT. CAR - NIGHT A couple minutes pass and the guys are in the car driving away from Emily s house. So that s it? We just assassinate someone then call our boss and drive away? Yes. But...what if someone arrives and discovers the body? Don t worry, the law won t know who did it. Are you sure? Positive. Our boss is going to send out someone who lives close to Emily to get rid of the body. Very interesting. Can I ask you something, Jerry? What is it?

10. What made you want to be an assassin? It s a long story but I ll sum it up for you: After hearing people getting raped, killed, and being victims of any crime, I ve decided to become one. Soon, I was able to get help from my next door neighbor who worked for an organization that would send out assassins to kill evil people. Oh, okay. I now know why you became an assassin. How about you? Same thing you said except I was homeless at one point and when I realized that no one and not even the government was going to help homeless people from getting beaten up or not getting a home, I decided to become a vigilante. I know I m killing people instead of throwing them in prison but sometimes it s best to send them to hell. Damn. At least I picked you off the street. I was going to let you stay at my home for a while until you get back on your feet but it looks like you ll be staying with me for a long time So I m going to be your roommate for a long time now that I m working with you? That s right, Eric. Eric looks Jerry in silence after hearing what he just said with a surprised look on his face.

11. Wow. Thank you, Jerry. You re a great friend. Well that s what friends are for. True. Eric and Jerry stop talking to each other for a while as they drive back home until Jerry starts talking. Say, you wanna get something to eat? Sure. What are you in the mood for? A big juicy hamburger. Same here. The film comes to a close as the car drives away. FADE OUT
