Purpose Monitoring of Smart Metering Experimentation implementation Outlines activities and task (scheduling) Defines implementation of tasks Defines monitoring (consumption data and behavior) Three subtopics (sheets) 1. Before installation 2. Installation 3. Monitoring 2
Structure / data entry I. Live document First entry is planning Update as activity is performed or rescheduled Schedule Defines the start and end of activity/task Flags the status of activity (Completed or not) In some cases indicates if activity is not applicable 3
Structure / data entry II. Activity/task options and results Defines the selected option In some cases option is not applicable Result of activity in case of dwelling selection 4
Related documents For data entry assistance see deliverables: D6.1.3 Smart Meters Suppliers DataBase (v5 - updated) D6.2.1 Experimentation plan on partners territory for smart metering in LIH: o ANNEX I: Dwelling Properties matrix o ANNEX II: WP6 Survey questionnaire o Chapter 5, pages 22 to 35 D6.3.1 Smart Metering - selection criteria 5
1. Before installation I. Tasks and actions needed to be performed before the installation of Smart metering equipment Definition of pilot dwellings o Dwellings participating in experiment and control group Execution of surveys - consumption baselines (combine with WP5) o Annex 1 - DWELLING PROPERTIES MATRIX o Annex 2 - Survey on energy consumption in dwellings Definition of equipment (deliv. D6.3.1 Selection criteria) o What type of equipment will be installed o Utility meter/ IHD / Plug-in switches - The Suppliers database DB is not exclusive - especially Plug-in switches are examples of available devices) 6
1. Before installation II. Definition of services (D6.3.1 Selection criteria) o Which feedback services will be offered to households (depending on equipment selected and typology of households - internet connection, elderly etc.) Selection of suppliers and providers Coordination of an awareness campaign (WP2) with actions of equipment installers o Tenants are aware of this initiative o Take advantage of direct contact with tenants of pilot dwellings in the time of installation 7
2. Installation Tasks and actions needed during the installation of Smart metering equipment Installation of equipment o Feedback through installed device display Setting up the additional feedback services o Linked to utility or third party service providers: event notification billing Web interface (i.e. Currentcost web page) Setting up the consumption data acquisition services o Through utility bills? o Manual entry? (by tenants web/sheets, phone survey etc.) o Through web service (provided by IHD suppliers or utility) o Definition of the process: data flow from user to project partner 8
Milestone At this stage -the consumption feedback and monitoring of experimentation is enabled: Consumption: o Past consumption (Surveys/bills) o Appliance level (IHD, plug-in switches) o Whole consumption (Utility meter/bills) Behavior patterns and typology: o Surveys 9
3. Monitoring I. Tasks and actions needed during the monitoring period Consumption data acquisition o As defined in previous stages Monitoring/influencing the behavior o Bulletin editions on ELIH-Med and energy efficiency Coordination of an awareness campaign (WP2) o Interim survey Repetition of part C and D in annex 2 - Survey on energy consumption in dwellings 10
3. Monitoring II. Adjustment of measures/services o Based on survey feedback o Facilitating the living-lab approach Additional explanations in informative billing/bulletin Change of display screen configuration (IHD) Measuring different appliances Adaptation of web interface (i.e. home screen in Curentcost)...
