Creamy Pumpkin Soup 4 Pink Bonanza We recommend using organic produce wherever possible to minimize exposure to chemicals, pesticides and hormones. As well as using coconut oil for cooking as it has many health benefits and unlike most other oils doesn t go rancid when used at high temperatures. 5 Dairy Free Avocado Mango Mouse 6 Blueberry Smash 7 Strawberry Smoothie 8 Pear Puree 9 10 Fruity Oats Orange Puree

3 Creamy Pumpkin Soup This creamy soup is full of nutrition with loads of vegetables. In this recipe we use coconut milk however if your baby is old enough for dairy you could use cream or milk depending on how creamy you want it. 1 butternut pumpkin, peeled de-seeded and cubed 1 large potato, peeled and cubed 1 large carrot, peeled and roughly chopped 1 onion, diced 2 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp chicken flavored stock powder 1 can coconut milk 1 Quart water Salt and pepper Heat oil in a pan and fry all vegetables until golden. Add 1 L boiling water to the pan and stir in stock powder. Add coconut milk Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes until all vegetables are soft. Blend with stick blender until it reaches a smooth consistency. 2 Sweet Potato and Chickpea Puree This puree will provide your baby with a great source of protein and carbohydrate and can also be added to a family dinner as a side. 2 medium sweet potatoes 1 tin of chickpeas 1 tbsp butter/ coconut oil Steam sweet potatoes until tender Then drain chickpeas and add to sweet potatoes with the butter Using a food processor whizz for about 30 seconds. (note if you don t have a processor you could mash it up, although it won t be as smooth)

4 3 Veggie Mash This recipe will provide your child with a great source of fats, vitamins and minerals. 4 Carrots small Butternut Squash Bananas Avocadoes ½ lemon juiced Cut butternut squash peel and dice 4 large carrots add squash and carrot to large baking sheet and roast in a 450 degree oven until soft (approx 45 mins) Peel and cut up two bananas and two avocadoes into a powerful blender or food processor and blend/process until smooth. Remove veggies from oven and allow to cool completely then remove flesh from skin of squash and add it, with carrots, to the processor or blender. Blend/ process until smooth then add lemon juice which will prevent browning. Pour into pouches Pink Bonanza Strawberries, bananas and beets will create a fun colorful smoothie that will give your child a wonderful source of dietary fiber, potassium and folate. 3 bananas 1 lb ripe strawberries 1 medium red beet Peel banana and beetroot Wash strawberries and take the stalks off. Steam the beetroot for about 30 minutes or until soft. Cut the beetroot into 2cm pieces. Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Freeze or serve immediately.

5 5 Dairy Free Avocado Mango Mouse This mouse is easy to make and contains great fats which are essential for your babies growth, you can always double the recipe and serve for the whole family as an awesome healthy dessert. 1 Avocado 1 Mango ½ cup coconut milk Cut up the Avocado and mango removing the stones. Place all ingredients in a blender until desired consistency. Pour into baby freeze trays 6 Blueberry Smash This sweet treat will provide your baby with great nutrition as blueberries are a great source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. This dish also contain protein and carbohydrates, however we do suggest omitting the cottage cheese if you suspect any dairy allergies or your baby is too young for dairy. 1 cup blueberries (use fresh berries, or frozen berries - thawed) ½ cup well cooked brown rice 1 mashed banana ½ cup cottage cheese pinch cinnamon drop of vanilla Peel banana and beetroot Wash strawberries and take the stalks off. Steam the beetroot for about 30 minutes or until soft. Cut the beetroot into 2cm pieces. Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Freeze or serve immediately.

6 7 Strawberry Smoothie This delicious smoothie will turn into a great frozen dessert, breakfast or snack. It will provides vitamins, mineral and the addition of coconut milk will provide healthy fats for your baby. Adding chia seeds which turn soft and gelatinous when added to liquid, will provide the perfect ratio of omega fats and are a great source of protein and iron. 1 Cup coconut milk ½ cup rolled oats 1 banana cut up 1 Cup frozen strawberries 1 tbsp chia seeds ½ tsp vanilla extract Blend all ingredients together Pour into freezer trays and leave to stand for ten minutes before freezing as the chia seeds will become gelatinous and absorb some of the liquid. 8 Pear Puree No baby recipe book is complete without a pear puree, however conventional pears to tend to have a lot of pesticides on them so if organic is not an option for you be sure to wash them well before cooking, If your child is too young for dairy or is allergic leave out the yogurt and just blend up the pears. 3 Medium sized pears peeled and cored ½ cup natural yogurt Pinch cinnamon Steam pears for 5 minutes or until soft Wait for pears to cool and add all ingredients to blender or food processor Blend until you reach a smooth consistency then pour into pouches.

7 9 Orange Puree This puree will provide your little with a whole variety of their much needed vitamins and minerals, especially with the addition of spinach. What is more it contains good fats from the coconut oil and is rich in Omega 3 s which are provided by the avocado. 5 yellow peaches 1/2 cup diced mango 1 banana 3/4 cup spinach 2 carrots 1 medium avocado 1 tbsp coconut oil Peel and cut up all the fruit and veggies, removing all stones and skin. Place the carrots in a steamer and put the spinach on top (as need less time to steam) and steam until they are soft. Then place all ingredients in high speed blender or food processor and whizz until smooth. Then freeze in pouches or serve immediately. 10 Fruity Oats Oats are a great source of carbohydrates which help to stabilize blood sugar as well as being a source of magnesium and iron. Served along with fruits this recipe will help your baby to feel fuller for longer and provide many vitamins and minerals. 1.5 cup of oats 2 apples 2 pears 2 bananas 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional) Place *oats in a pot with 1.5 cups of water, on the stove bring to the boil and then simmer for a few minutes until the consistency is thick and gooey. Peel apples, bananas and pears and cut up into chunks. Steam apples and pears until tender. Then put all ingredients in a blender or food processor and whizz until smooth. Either serve or freeze in pouches. *if using quick oats the cooking time will be much less
