4 PHILOSOPHY Atena. Polish IT company established in 1991 in Sopot. It has developed several innovative IT solutions, such as web platforms to support agency sales networks and customer service, for Ergo Hestia, a group of insurance companies. The company currently employs over 500 people, including those in its Warsaw branch. Atena designs and implements systems which serve companies of various industries, as well as local government institutions. It is the only Polish IT company to be named European IT Workplace of the Year for 2012 and it has twice received the title of Investor in Human Capital (Inwestor w Kapitał Ludzki). These awards attest to Atena s dynamic development: Business Gazelle (Gazela Biznesu) and Forbes Diamonds (Diamenty Forbesa). The software we provide is compliant with ISO 27001:2005 (standard for data security management systems) and ISO 9001:2008 (standard specifying the requirements for quality management system in organizations).
