ACS PRO Series Hearing Protection The PRO range from ACS sets a new standard in musicians hearing protection offering a number of features that create a great experience for the wearer allowing you to listen and perform in comfort and with impeccable clarity. The PRO filters feature a new smaller footprint so that any size of ear can use a PRO earplug comfortably and discreetly whilst its sheathed outer provides splash-proofing allowing them to be used outdoors or when perspiring. The PRO series also have a vented design that allows sound to escape from the ear canal which reduces the occlusion effect (noise booming in a blocked ear) making them ideal for vocalists and wind players. Please call us if you would like advice on which product to purchase or where to obtain our products. The PRO Series* hearing protectors feature interchangeable filters. With the ability to exchange your filters for a higher or lower attenuating filter within 30 days of purchase. The next generation of filter design The PRO filter series has been designed anew with the wearer in mind. For starters, it s smaller than many competing filters which means it can fit into smaller ears without any protrusion which is great for both comfort and aesthetics. The filters are also user-swappable so you can chop and change as your environment demands to any other filter in the PRO range giving you complete control over your protection with just a single set of earmoulds. In addition, the PRO series are water resistant so they can be used outside or in high moisture environments and can withstand perspiration without it damaging the filter membrane.

The curse of the occlusion effect Trying to create a natural sounding earplug is no mean feat as far as your own voice is concerned because, as you will have experienced, when you block off your ear canal your own voice starts to boom inside your head, this is what we call occlusion. Occlusion is caused by sound that is carried to your ear canal through the cartilage at the side of your head and usually escapes through the open ear canal so is not heard. When we block off the canal this sound cannot escape and so creates that booming effect. A large amount of occlusion can be eliminated by ensuring that the earplug sits deep enough into the ear canal to extend past the cartilage so that the sound hits the plug and is deadened rather than entering the canal at all but the PRO filters go one step further. The PRO series are vented to allow sound to pass both ways which means that remaining sound can escape directly through the filter providing one of the most natural sounding earplugs available. Specification Build Material 40 Shore Silicone with SteriTouch Mould Type Canal Mould Standard Colour Clear (SNR) Single Number Rating Items Included Additional Extras 9 db Carry pouch, wax pick, care and usage instructions, comfort cream Grips to aid removal - Cording - Colour (see chart below) - Laser Etching - up to 10 characters - Colour Options

ACS PRO-10 Earplugs The PRO-10 offers highly delicate and level attenuation averaging 10dB, giving the most subtle protection in the whole of the PRO range. Ideal for vocal and acoustic performers, the PRO is perfect for environments that are only just edging over safe levels. Offering a natural and transparent sound to the wearer, the PRO-10 allows musicians working with intricate acoustic performances to stay within the safe limits of exposure while keeping completely engaged with the performance filling the gap be- Tailor made for you The PRO-10 is custom-made using soft medical-grade silicone so you get the very best in isolation and fit allowing you to wear them for hours at a time without fatigue or discomfort. Each earpiece is manufactured to the highest standards ensuring you get a comfortable, discreet and effective hearing protector that can be fitted quickly, easily and securely every time. Please Note : The PRO-10 deliberately does not meet the minimum attenuation of 12dB above 1KHz that is required by the EN352-2 standard, it is therefore not tested or certificated under this standard.

ACS PRO-15 Earplugs The PRO-15 by ACS provides more subtle attenuation that s perfect for use in acoustic or orchestral environments sloping up in the higher frequencies for protection against heavily played wind instruments. The vented design offers reduced occlusion which makes communication and vocal performances sound more natural resulting in a plug that is more transparent to the wearer. The complete plug, custom made in soft silicone offers one of the most comfortable hearing protection solutions for unplugged musicians with the additional benefit of water resistance for increased longevity. The PRO- Protection just where you need it The PRO-15 s attenuation curve is the result of a very specific design that satisfies two very important requirements. Firstly, the requirement of acoustic musicians to be able to hear what they re doing whilst being protected from peaks in higher frequencies but where the overall noise is lower than for many other musicians. The PRO-15 solves this with a flat 12dB protection up to the midrange and then a gentle curve up to 15dB at the high end where many of the dangerous blasts from wind instruments sit. Second is the requirement for a hearing protector that conforms to the European Standard for hearing protection for use under the Noise at Work regulations. The EN352-2 standard specifies minimum protection values at specific frequencies and creating a low noise hearing protector can be difficult without dipping below these values. The PRO-15 provides protection that s not only perfectly suited to the acoustic musician but also meets the requirements of EN352-2 so the musician and politician are perfectly happy.

ACS PRO-17 Earplugs The PRO-17 is the flattest response filter in the PRO range. Designed specifically for musicians and vocal performers, the PRO-17 gives one of the most accurate responses of any hearing protector with flat 17dB protection across the board. Keeping all frequencies in check relative to one another means you get to hear the music just as it should sound but 17dB quieter with no loss of high or low frequencies. Not only does the PRO-17 provide a balanced reproduction but, for vocal performers, its vented design reduces occlusion giving your voice a more natural sound making the hearing protector A sterling performance across the board The PRO-17 has one of the flattest responses of any hearing protector worldwide offering an accurate representation for anyone that requires complete fidelity from their ear plugs. With an average attenuation of 17dB the PRO-17 is perfect for musicians and vocalists performing with amplification being able to extend your safe listening time by more than 5 times. The PRO-17 keeps all the clarity of the music by attenuating evenly throughout the frequency spectrum so you can listen PRO-17 attenuation graph showing db drop against frequency

PRO-20 Custom Protectors The PRO-20 filter provides attenuation specifically designed for high noise situations where there is an emphasis on higher pitch frequencies. For motor sport the PRO-20 provides protection against wind, road and engine noise whilst allowing the wearer to maintain situation awareness, hear the note of the engine and communicate clearly when stationary. Designed from the ground up for motorsport and industry the PRO-20 is the ideal filter for demanding environments. The PRO filter also provides water resistance so it will carry on performing in the hot or humid conditions of a crash helmet or demanding industrial environments with no detriment to the attenuation. The edge you want with the protection you need The PRO-20 offers protection that s been specifically designed for those exposed to dangerous high frequency noise. Its db reduction increases gently up to the high frequencies so you can hear everything you need to and not what you don t. Keeping the attenuation less agressive in the lower frequencies gives you greater situation awareness and allows you to communicate comfortably without the need to keep removing and replacing your plugs so you can put your hearing protection in and leave it there all day if necessary. With an average attenuation of 20dB the PRO-20 can increase your safe exposure times by up to 6.5 times so you can enjoy your hobby or occupation with confidence and, with its slimmer and more discreet profile, in complete comfort PRO-20 Attenuation Graph showing db reduction at specified frequencies.

ACS PRO-26 Earplugs The PRO 26 is one of the strongest level-attenuating earplugs available, offering protection from the most challenging sound environments whilst ensuring that you can hear clearly and perform at your best at all times. The PRO 26 offers the same incredibly natural sound as the rest of the PRO range and offers a high-frequency peak that ensures that your hearing is protected from the most dangerous and intense sounds. Ideal for those working in the loudest of environments, the PRO 26 offers clear communication, unparalleled comfort and tailor-made attenuation to ensure that you can stay in touch and in tune with your environment. Extra strong protection but still in delicate balance The PRO 26 filter offers some of the strongest attenuation in the PRO range but still keeps all of the frequencies in balance allowing you to stay protected but perfectly in touch with your environment. Offering level response up to 4kHz, the PRO 26 is perfect for musicians working in the loudest environments allowing complete clarity in extreme noise. In addition, the PRO 26 offers extra protection at the highest frequencies so you stay safe from the most intense sounds and can tackle your work with PRO-26 Attenuation Graph showing db reduction at specified frequencies.

ACS PRO-27 Earplugs The PRO-27 is a breakthrough in high-noise filtering giving you an almost flat reduction of around 23dB through the low and mid range frequencies so that you maintain situation awareness and your ability to communicate but can still be comfortable in very loud environments. In the higher frequencies the PRO-27 gives you a stark jump in protection offering up to 35dB where you need it most so you can carry on working or enjoying your passion in safety. With an average attenuation of 27dB the PRO-27 can increase your safe exposure time by up to 9 times NOTE : PRO-27 filters and earmoulds are not interchangeable with other filters and earmoulds in the PRO range. Please note: PRO 26 & PRO 27 Communicators can be found in the Universal db Communication section of the website.
