1 How to: Ordering Software at Surfspot Preface Surfspot is a web shop for universities and colleges in the Netherlands, offering software and other IT products for a reduced price. TU/e employees and students require a valid TU/e usercode/password before they can order at Surfspot. The Surfspot web shop is accessible on this web address: Any software or hardware bought on Surfspot is for personal use only. If you require software for your office computer, please check our campus licensed software at: Ordering instructions Since the Surfspot web site is currently written in Dutch, we will explain the order process here using a few translated images of the web pages: Step 1: Go to the web page Choose the name of the university you are working for, from the list located under "(Onderwijs) instelling". Choose for "Technische Universiteit Eindhoven": The screen will change and show two additional fields: "TU/e naam" and "TU/e Wachtwooord". 2 Step 2: Search for software On the upper-left side of the page at "Zoeken/Search" you can enter a name of the product you are looking for: The search results will look like this: If the desired product is in the list, you can click the "Shopping car" icon to add it to you list. License agreements For some software packages you have to agree to the license. The example below shows the license agreements for Microsoft. Depending of the method of payment, the steps displayed above could be different for each type of payment. After SurfSpot has received your payment, the order will be delivered to the given address within a few working days.
