1 COUNTY OF MARQUETTE SHERIFF S OFFICE SPECIFICATION # SO Specifications for HEAVY DUTY 4WD PICK UP TRUCK 4-Door (Crew Cab) ¾ Ton-Diesel Power Plant 2017 CURRENT NEW SPECIFICATION The vehicle is to be factory equipped with the following items, unless dealer installation is herein permitted: Meets Specifications AIR BAGS Vehicle to be equipped with driver and right front passenger side air bag passive restraint system. AIR CONDITIONING System must be designed to prevent component damage due to high speed driving. ALTERNATOR (HEAVY DUTY) Largest amp available. ANTENNA Standard AM/FM type original equipment antenna, if externally mounted, to be in factory predrilled location. Antenna wire to run to normal AM/FM radio dash opening. Antenna may be dealer installed. ANTIFREEZE To be equipped with antifreeze protection to -35 degrees F minimum. Single rear wheel. AXLE BATTERY(s) 12 volt, minimum 770 cold ranking amps, with auxiliary heavy duty battery.

2 BRAKES Vehicle to be equipped with power assisted, anti-lock brake system, four wheel disc preferred. BACK-UP CAMERA (REAR MOUNTED-FACTORY INSTALLED) Vehicle to be equipped with a rear back-up camera. CARGO BOX Vehicle to be equipped with standard short box, with an applied protective coating Rhino Lining or equivalent. ACCESSORY OUTLET (12V) To be located on instrument panel, wired independent of ignition system. Standard extra outlets permissible. COOLING SYSTEM Vehicle to have maximum size cooling system available, incorporating coolant recovery system. COVERS-COLD WEATHER BLANKET SYSTEM Cold weather blanket assembly to provide protection to the cooling system. CRUISE CONTROL Standard factory equipped cruise control to be provided. DIFFERENTIAL Heavy duty. Locking Rear Differential. ENGINE (DIESEL) Engine to be the at least 6.5 liter displacement in the model of the vehicle submitted. With included engine heater. Must be a diesel powered engine. ENGINE HEATER Equipped with an engine block heater.

3 FLOOR MAT Full floor mat, heavy-duty rubber or vinyl, front and rear. Removable fitted (Weather-Tech) floor mats in addition to full floor covering. GAUGES Gauge cluster, water temperature, voltmeter, oil pressure, fuel level and trip odometer. GLASS All windows shall be heat absorbing (tinted) type. HEADLIGHTS To be equipped with high and low beam, quartz-halogen headlights. KEYS Eight (8) total keys to be furnished. LICENSE PLATE BRACKETS Vehicle shall be equipped with manufacturer supplied rear license plate brackets. (Dealer may install.) LOCKS To be equipped with power door locks. MIRRORS, REARVIEW (EXTENDED VIEW HEATED) Inside Day/night type. Outside (Heated) Remote control extended camper type, installed on left-hand and right-hand doors. Controls to be within convenient reach of driver.

4 MUD FLAPS Factory equipped with front and rear wheel well mud flaps. PAINT COLOR Manufacturer s standard white as approved by the Marquette County Sheriff s Office. Paint color code to be indicated on production code plate. POWER WINDOWS, LOCKS, AND MIRRORS Vehicle shall be equipped with power door locks, windows, and mirrors. RADIO Vehicle shall be equipped with standard electronic AM/FM radio, digital clock and standard radio speakers. RADIO ISE SUPPRESSION Vehicle shall be equipped with standard AM and police radio noise suppression package, to include any optional grounding straps. The vehicle shall not interfere with signals received or transmitted by the mobile police radio system, nor shall the vehicle be affected by the operation of a police mobile transmitter. REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY/FACTORY INSTALLED REMOTE STARTER Vehicle shall be equipped with remote entry and remote starter with two transmitters. REAR BUMPER Vehicle shall be equipped with step style rear bumper. REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER To be equipped with a rear cab window defroster. REAR BOX CAP (FIBERGLASS) To be equipped with a rear box cap with three lockable lift up doors (side/rear) color coordinated with vehicle, also equipped with third brake light and interior cap light.

5 SEAT ASSEMBLY, FRONT/REAR Bucket seat type, individually adjustable. The driver s seat only to be 6-way power. Front and back seats to have heavy-duty cloth construction designed for rugged police use, comfortable foampadded seat cushions and backs. To permit the installation of radio equipment, a minimum width of ten (10) inches is required between the bucket seats. Floor-mounted shift lever with console and 40/20/40 seats not permitted. Center console removed by dealer. SEAT BELTS Driver and right front passenger shoulder belt assembly to incorporate tension reliever and automatic release mechanism. If seat belt assembly is integral part of door, separate lap belt, independent of door, will be required. SKID PLATE PACKAGE Vehicle equipped with factory installed skid plate protection. SPARE TIRE Full size spare tire and wheel to match specified tire. SPOTLIGHTS Unity Model #225 or new ABS plastic equivalent (equipped with LED spot lamp) to be mounted on the left-hand and right-hand A pillar. Left and right spotlights to be wired independent of ignition, individually fused with 10 to 20 amp capacity. Spotlight fuses shall be readily accessible to the driver, with location in the fuse panel preferred. Installation to be approved by the Marquette County Sheriff s Office. (Installation by dealer permitted.) STEERING WHEEL Tilt type steering wheel required. Round with anti-slip surface. SUSPENSION SYSTEM Handling/Trailering (Heavy Duty)

6 TIRES Equipped with all-terrain type tires. TOOLS Wheel wrench and jack. TRAILER/TOW PACKAGE HEAVY DUTY (Preferred Factory Installation) Rear: Vehicle to be equipped with a heavy-duty tow package to include factory installed electronic trailer brake controls. With 7-wire harness with a min. capacity of 10,200 lbs. or greater receiver. Front: To be equipped with a hitch receiver capable of towing 10,200 lbs. or greater, with power supply (winch.) TRANSMISSION Fully automatic, heaviest duty available. Must include transmission cooler. With Overdrive electronic grade braking and tow/haul mode. UPHOLSTERY, FRONT & REAR Front and rear seats to be upholstered in heavy-duty cloth. WHEELS AND COVERS. To be heavy-duty construction. WINCH (Preferable WARN) Front/Rear interchangeable 9,000 lb. capacity or more with remote control. Capable of being used on a standard hitch receiver on the front or rear of the vehicle. WINDSHIELD WIPERS/WASHERS Multiple speed electric, to include intermittent feature. TE: No dealer advertising to be on vehicle.
